    If Cronulla wants Carney they should do the three things that our club did not.

    1. A mentor.
    2. Antabuse (works for me)
    3. Keep him away from people who do not have his best interests at heart (including players)

    If they do that, and he comes back and kicks arse, I hope he does it to us first.

      Todd told us, he had an addiction to alcohol.
      To abstain from the drink, he needed to show some courage to overcome the pangs of addiction.
      What you are saying does not make much sense.
      You need to get over your man love for the bloke.
      It's not easy changing one's whole life, no matter how much one tries.
      Some can do it longterm, some can do it for a short while.

      The movie '28 Days' starring Sandra Bullock shows it all;

      "only 3 out of 10 of us will" [make it to non-addiction]

        He didn't know the difference. Nor did he have the courage to change, unfortunately
        How do you know that prayer Kramer?

          Or it could be that he only thought he was an alcoholic, and in reality is just a social butterfly who "gets hammered" 'with' the 'rest' of the sports stars in society when the chance arises.

          Seems to me it's the amount of alcohol Carney and others drink at one time that's his/the main problem...binge drinking.

          http://www.smh.com.au/news/beijing20...850910890.html

          He said swimmers trained hard and were very disciplined, but when allowed a small opportunity to have a drink had tended to binge-drink. "Culturally there is the attitude, 'let's get hammered'," Perkins told the Herald.
