Sharks are so desperate that they would do something like risking a media onslaught by signing Carney. Goodluck to them and handling Carney's mental baggage.

No one cares enough about the Sharks to start a media onslaught. In a space of months both Albert Kelly and Isaac Godron have both bashed women... they made short paragraphs in the newspaper and that was it.

Exactly! So if they sign Carney and he stuffs up again that's another sharks player on the news, will they risk that?
I can see the owners of Northies now rubbing their hands in glee at the thought of record profits if the Sharks sign Carney.
The Sharks are deluded if they think Carney will deliver them their elusive first premiership. There is more chance of Harold Holt returning from the murky seas.
What would be interesting would be farkwit Rothchild's reaction the first time Carney farks up. Which will happen, sooner or later. It's in his DNA.

Far from deluded - he almost got us there, and we were in far worse shape than they are.
It's Cronulla BF - they could have 17 of the best players in the game in their squad and they still couldn't get themselves a premiership. They promise much only to deliver little year after year. There's something in the water down there that reeks of failure.
And let's face it Carney is in far worse shape now than he was in 2010 and it's debatable whether he'll ever reach those heights again.

Debatable means there is an argument for the affirmative - Cronulla are desperate, I can see why they'd go for Carney.
Any club willing to flip the bird to the media and stick by him will reap some form of benefit. Their forward pack is huge, they lack class in the backline, and Carney is all class.
As you say, they have a proud history of grandiose failures at every instance, so however short Carney's straw may be, I can see why they'd clutch at it.

The only reason the Sharks can flip the bird to the media is because that hyprocrite Farkwit Rothfield is a Sharks fan. No surprise there. Both are losers and their chances of succeeding in anything are negligible. And I wouldn't be too sure having Carney at the club will benefit them. One stuff up and they could lose one or more of the few sponsors they have.
