I dont know which part of "Problem with alcohol" you dont understand. When Carney stands in front of the world and says he has a problem with alcohol, it means the problem needs to be sorted out. ALL alcohol problems are only sorted out when you STOP DRINKING ALCOHOL. Obviously Carney - doesnt want to stop the problem or he completely lied to a judge and he has no problem with drinking.

It brings undue pressure on himself, his team and the NRL to be seen having alcohol in public when its obviously a major point of contention. You know the guy with a pokies problem. He's not doing anything wrong putting $5 in over lunch but as it always does, it builds up to the point where they're at square one yet again. He will come a cropper, sooner rather than later and we are well rid of him.

Exactly, Carney is a player who is only at his best when everything is going his way and the odds are stacked in his favour. And life just aint like that long term. Carney has to learn that life has its fair shares of ups and downs and that you can't self destruct whenever things aren't going all your way.

Life for the bloke won't be perfect at the Sharks, that much is certain - be it injuries or form or simply the pressure of being the 'saviour'. And I'm not sure he will deal with that any differently than he did at the Roosters - by hitting the booze.

Its was pretty obvious to me that Carney lost form before the semis last year ,ie that his drinking started again a few rounds before hand like your Messiah Fittler the **** went missing on the Grog -he was amiss in the semis and terrible in the GF
