I think what it is, is that he bought the club when he was king of the kids, hit movies and lots of publicity. Now Rusty's star has waned a fair bit and he's no longer king poopy and Souths are like that special needs kid that just won't improve, no matter what effort you put in. Rusty's finally realised that winning against a piss poor playing Roosters team in the local derby doesn't bring in money when the team goes terrible in the rest of the season.
