  • Todd Payten Incident

Well some of you have probably heard about what todd Payten did on the War Memorial at Hyde Park, if not see here.

Lucky for him he has retired from the NRL.

In light of what happened at the Roosters last season, if Todd was still playing, should the NRL have acted to provide further punishment, or should the NRL enact further punishments to keep him away from nrl events?

He has retired. It is no longer the NRL's business what he does. Why would you keep the guy from games to punish him over one small mistake?

I use a line I heard a digger use when a teenager was behaving like a dickhead during an Anzac Day march a few years ago.

"Look what they did for you, what are you doing for them?"

Nice one Payten, I can't believe you wore our jersey.

Are they going to have Japs shooting at him?

I'm sure if he was aware of the fact that it was a war memorial he would not have done it. He made a mistake. He has been humiliated. Let him move on.

thats why i put the hypothetical in there "if todd was still playing"

i guess you can pose the argument, Payten made a small mistake (pretty hard to miss the War memorial by the by) and has had to front court, yet Carney goes to the pub and is forced to be sacked from the club due to constant media pressure*.

*in no way am i saying that we should have kept TC, his history was bad enough.

I'll say it. We should have kept Todd Carney and ****ed Anasta off.

Payten - that is a disgrace. See they managed to drag the roosters in somehow. **** them

As we all know by now footballers are not very smart. Moreover, alcohol makes them even less smart. This "crime" is nothing your typical dumb drunk Australian male had probably not done on a Saturday night.

Just because TC was made a media scapegoat doesn't mean that Roosters fans should jump up and down and scream for equal punishments for dummies from other clubs.

Let him try that on the Cenotaph in Central, he would be shot dead.

Don't get me wrong. It was a very stupid and disrespectful act. I just think it is more of the same shit that we hear week in and week out about these neanderthals that we call NRL players.

As you know John NRL players are mostly wild animals yet we are constantly up in arms when they behave like wild animals in public. Some supporters want to get close to them and pretend they are friends. I would prefer to watch them tear each other to pieces.
