I really don't understand what Penn thought would happen. They get rid of Peters for basically doing nothing, they do not re-sign the coach, there is constant talk of the boardroom and the football club having issues, constant in house bickering and Penn wants to come out like it's all a surprise and start pointing fingers. Still think it just 'not cricket' to have all this happen in the week following their GF win. I'd be devastated if it happened to us when we'd only been celebrating for a few days and then it all imploded. I feel for Manly - I have a bit of a soft spot for them though as EVERYONE hates them!! They have already been running to the NRL this season asking for part of next seasons grants in advance.. Then look at their membership numbers, around the third lowest of any NRL team..

their whole 'stadium' couldnt take the chookpen so supporter base aside, even if they did have broncos-esque membership numbers, they would have to devise a roster for home games because they couldnt all go at once
