Brisbane - great young side. The makings of a top longterm team. a few years ahead of us. top props Hannant/Civo + Thaiday+ and strong backline, I feel if their 5/8 does the basics they will be hard to beat. gillet, beale,Hoffman,Reed,Jhral,Hodges one of the best 1-5 and just a good a pack. 5/8 & 9 is their weakness
Newcastle - Benny + a good roster
Storm - Bellamy will find a way
Manly - One of the strongest rosters on paper still
Tigers - Good Lineup across the park. i rate Moltzen at halfback.
Dogs - If they fix their 5/8 woes and Barba gets the mistakes out I feel they also have a strong lineup. + Des will ensure finals
The last 2 spots will be between
Saints - No Benny, but still a strong enough roster for finals
Cowboys - Thurston
Us - Have to keep the faith. solid all over but lacking star quality. the last 4 games showed what we can do
Sharks - Decent pack & potentially good halves. depends on Carney
Wabbits - Good coach. good pack. halves ?
the unpredicatble: NZ, Parra, Titans, Canberra
The dead: Penrith

[QUOTE=melon....;172145]Roosters 9 th
After losing some crucial games against lowly teams like the sharks and GC....we just miss the 8. A young inexperienced pack doing its best but not enough as an incomplete back line with no quality depth.sercomes to injury and a lack of cohesion and finishing skills to cruel us.
goes to show that a top 8 is a bit farcical considering how bad a yr we had last yr, and finished about 2 wins from the 8.
chooks 9th.

I feel the Dragons will get the spoon.
The loss of Bennett, Boyd & Gasnier. FB & centre will be a problem, they have Kyle Stanley who is good but not in the Boyd class. Beau Scott will probably move back to the centres but will be plauged by constant contract negotiations & may leave for Parra.
Hornby has already got injury concerns meaning Soward will have to step up????
I think Bennett was able to get the best out of Weyman but whether he can still play like that remains to be seen.
Big fall from grace. I cant wait.

Easts 6th & throw darts at the rest...
Half the teams have a new coach, it will be the most open comp in years with heaps of upsets
Tigers will surprise & head south on the leaderboard, Toddy & the Sharks will head north on the leaderboard. Eels & Cowboys to be the new punks on the block. Souths will be what they are & stay south despite the stars.....
Just give me an auto pick at the lottery thanks...."Qui audet adipiscitur"

Trust me, they will give the comp a good shake this year. A lot of their younger blokes have god experience now too

Warriors to win the comp. Parra in the 8 so that GWS dont have an impact & the Titans to make the 8 for the same reason. The NRL will look after it's own interests to make sure they keep all the league supporters.
If Newcastle dont make it then something is really wrong.
Des to get the Dogs there but not win the comp.
Sharks if Carney fires.
Roosters to sneak in.
Storm just.
