  • Nrlceo draft style fantasy league

For those of you interested I’ve started up a draft style NRL Fantasy Public League on NRLCEO. Players take turns drafting who they want in their team from the NRL until everyone has a full squad of 25 individual players.

The draft will take place at 8:00pm EST on Sunday the 26th of February (the weekend before the NRL kicks off), taking less than an hour to complete, and the league will run for 22 weeks with the finals to take place afterwards.

As far as points scoring, it’s all pretty standard stuff from NRLCEO with the following exceptions:

    - Captain gets double the normal points
    - Bench players get half the normal points
    - Maximum points that can be earned from goalkicking per week is 20

The rest of the scoring system is listed on the website. There’s room for 12 teams so get in quick!

Anyone who’s seen “The League” on One HD will recognise the League’s name and password

League Name – The Shiva Bowl
    Password – Taco

      Straight from their website:

      "THE QUICK DRAW RECRUITMENT

This Quick Draw is a straight recruitment method with the emphasis on speed! Once recruitment has started, coaches are able to pick up any players that are on the open market. However, it is strategic in that only one player can be recruited each round. Each round goes lasts two minutes. This means that for a competition that consists of 25 players squad limits, an entire draft will be completed in under an hour. This is a fast, pressurised and strategic straight recruitment method. Once the recruitment time is completed, players are then able to be picked up until squads are full - this is only required if a coach missed the opportunity to pick up a player in the draft with the time limit being exceeded."

So basically, say it comes around to Round 1. You and every other coach has a 2 minute window to choose their first player. You can only choose one player in this two minutes so you have to get in quick so that another coach doesn't get the player you want. Once a player is picked he is no longer available for anyone else to recruit. After the 2 minutes Round 2 begins and everyone has a chance to grab their second player, but can not pick anyone chosen in round 1 and so on for the rest of the draft.

I better get my list ready.

And prepare for players other than the favourites.

You're not wrong there. I think the favourites will go in the blink of an eye after the first 3 or so rounds.

We've now seen a preview of the season to come and the anticipation is building. There's still some spots left in the NRLCEO fantasy league if you want to make the season that much more interesting.

Sorry I am new to the whole NRL CEO thing.

On the 26th of February (Sunday) at 8pm EST there will be a draft consisting of 25 rounds, each lasting just 2 minutes. Think of each round as a 2 minute window where you can pick one NRL player. There is no draft order, it's just first in best dressed.

If you're not there at the time of the draft then you will miss out on picking the best NRL players and will be left with whoever wasn't picked by the other 11 teams, which will likely just be no-namers and rookies.

As for the page where the draft will take place, I'll look into it and post a link on here.

Also, as a message to the others in the league, make sure to check out and post on the sledge page for our league. There's a lot of fun to be had there!

I was there for every round, however due to some sort of a bug, which hit us all (i think) we were not able to add players between round 18-23. What the??

Now filled by 'Free player' section for those that don't know and are left wondering.
