The bloke is a dud on the field and a grub off it. His case was thrown out of court because the girl wouldn't testify against him...nowhere does she ever state he didn't hit her.

And the fact he was contracted to the club I financially support at the time he hit the girl makes it my business as he drags my club into the gutter along with him and his missus.

Fair enough wanting to let the guy get on with his life, BUT....having witnessed what he does, when on the drink, I have very little respect for him.
He seems to be like TC. Off the drink, no probs. Give him a beer and watch the change. An absolute imbecile.
The short period that he was here playing for Tugun saw him to be a very bad influence on some of the younger players. He should have been locked up on more than one occasion.He was lucky that a couple of mates got him away before it got that far.
As for his partner not pressing charges? You will find that in the majority of domestic assaults this is the case. Once it all settles down the culprit goes to work with the "I'm so sorry it won't happen again yada yada yada". Unfortunately it almost always does.
Just my take on things with this guy.

Do I think we had any sponsors walk out on the club because of Watts? No
Other than this forum it's a non event. 99% of people have fogotten about him.

IMO when headlines break about a certain football player being charged most people condem the person straight away.
For me the general public have a view that footy players get into trouble from all the footy codes, but it doesn't stop teams buying these guys nor does it stop sponsors personally sponsoring these so called bad guys nor does it stop sponsors from sponsoring the clubs they are playing at.

From all reports League supporter numbers are going up.
