    Anyone watch???

I struggle with the new format, swapping between the footy show and the roast, but I guess I will get used to it.

My main point of this thread is Fletch was on the Roast.

He was a natural IMO. Very funny and free of media speak, just said what ever was on his mind.

I hope he gets a run every week.

      Me too.

As for the reasoning of his exile, GheyHadley or so reports claim, the bloke just grates on me. I can't cop his melon or voice or opinions.

I hope we don't end up with too many late Fri night games. I will need an extra bottle or Turk and the liver ain't what it used to be.

I never thought I would say this, but Vossy owned the Roast & the "Things you may have missed" on Thursday Footy Show, he must really be on the nose at CH9, I think he's calling QLD State Cup only now isn't he? Who's in charge of Sports in there now, whoever it is, Vossy must've done his missus or something!!

Yes I've heard he's doing the QLD cup mate, sent to Siberia.

From what I've been told it's to do with GheyHadley. He's suing him or something??? For the life of me I can't see why he's been replaced. Fits with Ch 9 though, post Packers. I don't watch much free to air anymore but by all reports they've lost the plot.

If they lose the rights they will only have themselves to blame.

What on earth are they doing?

I prefered an hour of The Sunday Footy Show followed by an hour of The Sunday Roast. Instead we now we have a show where the camera pans from the set of The Sunday Footy Show panel to the set of The Sunday Roast and then back again for 2 hours. It's a bloody shambles!

Personally I can't stand Vossy. I don't miss his arrogant self one little bit. So is Vossy suing Hadley or Hadley suing Vossy???

Lol, I can't find references to suing, maybe that was just another rumor.

But the gist of the argument/fallout is in this article. Sadly I had to click on a Smellycrapp page, 1st time in a few years, I feel the need for a shower.

Basically 17 yrs ago Voss worked for Hadley. He quit cos he was offered a job at 9. Then Hadley blanked him. That's Vosses version. Of course Hadley carries on about No2 callers and tantys. It's the classic she said she said massdebate.

Hadley apparently had a swing at Voss last year about a geeup on the Roast over Rabs statue, which Hadley organized. Apparently the two Rays are golfing buddies.

Anyway somehow Gynge got involved, Hadley undercut Voss, and seems to have won this round.

TBH I feel like I just lost 10 mins of my life.

And General I agree it's very strange the new format. Trust 9 to put a bandaid on an axewound.

Hate the new format, so much so I dont bother watching beyond the first half hour ...which is pretty much a wrap of all the games played to date.

I didn't mind the Sunday Roast in its original format, mind you I still preferred Boots 'n All !

Gee they carry on don't they? Talk about a soap opera. I can't keep up with Hadley and who he likes and hates. I remember when he used to bag Smithy incessantly when he was at parramatta then he suddenly made up with him last year. Then there's Vautin and now Sterling who he's suddenly buddies with again. Add Voss to the list.

I actually haven't watched the Sunday shows this year as I haven't been home at the time. Sounds like I'm not missing much!

I did used to enjoy the Sunday Roast, but it sounds as though it's been ruined by incorporating it in with the Sunday Footy Show. Cost cutting no doubt. Channel 9 is not exactly going gangbusters in the ratings.

I must admit what little free to air TV I watch is on Channel 7. 9 is lucky to have me watch the footy, and sometimes I give that a miss, the ads give me the pips. I'd rather watch a replay on Fox with the ads edited out - the commentary is painful enough in itself.

That is the short and curly of the Raaaaay/Voss story.

For Raaaaaaaaay to come back to ch9, Voss had to be punted.

And yes, Raaaaaaaay and Rabs are golfing buddies.

That was a good show for people of our generation Hawkeye. I loved the 'Who's That Dude?" segment. Funny how Gus and Andrew Voss didn't annoy me with that program but everything else they do annoys me. Maybe because the content was so good. Well I get to see the new format as from tomorrow because we are getting it in Victoria along with the 4pm game

Geez, you do have some clout, don't you?

                            How'd you manage that?

Channel 9 Melbourne finally realised that people down here actually want to watch NRL live on Friday nights & Sundays so they are using GEM to stream the games.
