Not everyone has a gorilla surgically attached to your hip upon debut. But Locky isnt everyone.

And to even mention Soward in the same breath as the balding retread is ludicrous. Sorry, Big games will prove the real value of Soward, and if he excels then Ill be happy for him and gladly say I was wrong. History tells me he will crumble. It is the way of the Dragon.

Opes was just a frontman and fall guy for the decision the guys in the boardroom made.

I don't know what the situation was at the sharks, but that was the situation here. It's much of the reason why our club has been such a terrible failure over the last few years. Your coach should be hired with full faith from the board, and he should be making decisions on the squad and the team. The guys in the boardroom should just be making sure what the coach wants, happens.
I must ask how you know that this is fact ? I remember going to a fan thing at the Leagues club. Not long after Anderson was appointed as coach. His comments when asked about the halves were along the lines of Mitchell Pearce is one that needs to be fast tracked to 1st grade. He wast so warm about Jamie Soward, when I heard this comment by Anderson I knew it would be only a matter of time before we lost Soward. As I didnt see where he fitted in with Pearce being fast tracked.Perhaps this wasnt Andersons idea and he was pushed to this decision But with the same mans handling of Preston Campbell I beleieve even if it wasnt his decision it was one he not only went along with but one that he agreed with for the reason being they are both very similar type players. Why would he not wnat one but want the other.

I didn't compare him to Lockyer melon... I merely only pointed out the idiocy in your comments.

Soward however has been a shiteload better than Lockyer this year though.

You kept on saying he'll have an ordinary game all this season mate, or that he couldn't have any consistency. And that we were a top 4 side. Every prediction you've come up with this year has been wrong, every round just rubs salt into the wounds a little bit deeper.

The tackling but lack of any kicking game helped us immensely in the first 2 games.

I will continually laugh at that suggestion.

As i will continually laugh at all your boring excuses and constant ridicule of Soward.

It must cut deep to be so wrong so many times.

Lett was, as Cockadoodledoo says, outstanding in our Flegg team, far better than Luke Towers is now. Towers is, along with the regularly injured but immensely talented Fine Moeakiola, the best of a relatively bad bunch. But Lett is a class above all of these players, and I believe is still the same age as Mitch Aubusson, FP Nuuausala and Setaimata Sa.

I would really love to see us sign this kid back, he can't regularly crack First Grade at Dragons, wouldn't be too expensive, has pace to burn, can break tackles and would revel outside a big powerful centre like Williamson.
Lett would be a great signing for the club. Has the speed that is currently lacking in our outside backs stock. A few years back I saw him play for NSW Under 17, was playing centre with Hayne as his wing man, he was the best on field that night and it remains one of the most dominant individual performances by a junior I've seen. He is still relatively young and has played with the likes of Paea, Nuusuala and Sa. As you've mentioned Mack, we've got Towers and Moeakiola as the best of the next bunch at the moment and as talented as they are, there is a gap between our best wing Perrett and these kids, so Lett would be an astute buy to bridge this gap.

In all fairness to Soward. Its not like finals football is taylormade for his playing style. He must though adapt and his 2nd half performance yesterday showed me he can.I find myself asking how will you judge Jamie Soward in finals football. What is it you expect of him ? Or will you purely judge him based on his sdies results come finals time ?

No I didnt say that at all. I said if that forward pack keeps firing like it is, he will run riot. I maintained throughout the years, a half is only as good as his forwards allow him to be. And no one half can dominate a game on his own. Not in today's game. Not Soward, Not Lockyear, not Thurston, Not without the platform. Not without a game plan. You seem to be from the cult that believes he just clicks his fingers and magically everything happens. The only idiots here are the pseudo Dragons fans that worship the little diver.

Ill wait until he delivers in the big games, then Ill gladly join the cult of the Diver, or stand vindicated. Ill wait until Saints deliver in teh big games. But thats like waiting for Harold Holt isnt it?

Are you willing to face the same? Saints will choke. And their pseudo fans wont know where to hide.

Having 7 pages about re-signing Michael Lett shows just how far we have fallen...

This is embarrassing you, me and the club....

Pearce should never play again then

You love bringing up these defensive issues, have a look at our game against the Soward led Dargons

                      Pearce 15 attempted 9 made 6 missed
                      Soward 16 attempted 13 made 3 missed.

Any other problems in Sowards game Pearce is better at??????????????

If he was still here, these lovers of The Cat wouldnt even be talking about him. He'd be going backwards like all our players. Everyone's marveling at what he can do. For many a time Ive said he is the consummate touch footballer.....unparalleled speed, off the cuff almost adhoc passing and kicking game. A real live wire. But Ive also seen him choke on the big one. And his tactics against the Bulldogs were gutless and questionable. He showed his true colours - he's only ever been a confidence player. He wont back himself unless he's 1000% reassured. He wasnt going to catch Idris, so he milked it. He's going well because he's getting 1000% confidence/carriage from his champion forwards. Personally I dont like cats. I dont like blokes that dont go 1000% every time, even when they are likely to get beaten.

I dont like little prats that expect everything to be served up to them or dummy spit when they dont get their own way. Thats the Jamie Soward that left Easts, and from one or two memorable moments, he has proven that he still carries that gene.

                            Your funny Melon

So what your saying is When we play crap and lose its every one elses fault, it has nothing to do with the halves performance.

But if Saints lose and dont perform in the semis it is the halves fault.

                            I get it now

They may as well be, they carry on about the bloke as if they rely on him to breath.

All because we let go a player that was going nowhere at this club.
