That way you can utilise his running game and his ball-playing ability. Also has a handy kicking game that can be a back up for Pearce if in trouble. He'd be a waste on the wing. Towers is one of those players that needs to touch the ball as often as he can....

Regardless, we might as well bring in Towers anyway on the wing IMO. If worst comes to worst, we can do what Minichiello and Perrett would do, where both can switch between wing and fullback throughout the match. From what I have seen, Perrett has better kick returns than Towers, but Towers has better attack in general play i.e. he supports offloaders more, can chime into the backline to create set plays, etc.

I hope the faith some of you have in Towers comes to fruition and he's just not another talented young bloke who can't handle the week to week grind of the NRL.
I certainly wouldn't be shifting Perrett (again) to accommodate the bloke at FB.
Sandor Earl looks a more than capable winger. And it's not as if we're going to see the best of this kid in 09 given the crap year the team has had.
Quite frankly, what players achieve in NYC isn't that important. Some players excel in that comp but can't mix it in first grade. Other players who play average in NYC are made for NRL. A lot of it is about mental toughness, which is something you can't easily make a judgement call on.

Ok, if we are going to judge his future based on Sunday's game, then throw away SKD as well.
The kid was down on confidence last week, especially due to the fact that he had one of the biggest wingers in the comp lining up against him. The first try, he didn't take the bomb due to the sun in his eyes, you could clearly see that he couldn't see a thing when the ball went up. He then made a Rookie mistake by hanging off Vatuvei and trying to block the offload.
Second try he was outmuscled, as was our centre. I'm sorry but i couldn't see SKD doing any better. I thought it was a tough day for him especially knowing that Warriors always go to Manu as their strike weapon and he has been itching to get on the board lately.
I'm not saying Earl is the next Renouf but cut the kid a break. If you want to be harsh judges, then give more attention to the clown who is on the other side of the field.
