It'll be a long time before the game sees someone of the class of the Black Pearl again.
That in-and-away with the fend, gives me a woody just thinking about it
Ok, if we are going to judge his future based on Sunday's game, then throw away SKD as well.
The kid was down on confidence last week, especially due to the fact that he had one of the biggest wingers in the comp lining up against him. The first try, he didn't take the bomb due to the sun in his eyes, you could clearly see that he couldn't see a thing when the ball went up. He then made a Rookie mistake by hanging off Vatuvei and trying to block the offload.
Second try he was outmuscled, as was our centre. I'm sorry but i couldn't see SKD doing any better. I thought it was a tough day for him especially knowing that Warriors always go to Manu as their strike weapon and he has been itching to get on the board lately.
I'm not saying Earl is the next Renouf but cut the kid a break. If you want to be harsh judges, then give more attention to the clown who is on the other side of the field.
Don't worry I already gave that clown a spray.. Earl though is a Steven Bradbury.. Last man standing after the failures of his predecessors.. His stats and performances in NYC are underwhelming and he is nowhere near being a First Grader..

That's right. A case of noone left but him really. This week he will be back in the NYC team, where he belongs for now

Earl had a shocker on the weekend, but we have to be fair with him. He definitely done better in his limited gametime than Waqa and Tuigamala combined. On the weekend, he just ran into one of the best attacking weapons in the NRL. I'd prefer him in first grade than Tuigamala or Waqa. I think Waqa doesn't really understand the game as much as he should being an NRL player. He seems lost and doesn't know when to get involved. Mini is back now so hopefully Earl can go back to NYC and work on a few things. Towers surely has to be of NRL standard now. He needs his opportunity now as does Moeakiola and Williamson.

I have the same thoughts. But they are probably keeping them in Toyota Cup because they still have a slim chance of making the finals. They are already missing the likes of Friend, Symonds, Jones, Kennedy and Cordner. If they beat the Bunnies, they will be two points out of the 8 and then play second last placed Knights. If they happen to drop out, hopefully some of them will be given a shot towards the end of the year.

They are closer to the finals than I thought. I was under the impression their season was over by now. Looking back now, they've won 3 of their last 4 games and get an extra 2 points because of the bye. If these guys get a full-strength side together, they will go close to winning it. Williamson has either been injured or suspended, Brunton and Dane Cordner are suspended, Kennedy and Moeakiola are both out with ankle injuries, Boyd Cordner is still recovering from that sickening broken jaw, Matthew Hands has a hamstring injury I believe, Blair and Miller have been away on schoolboy duties and Jones, Friend, Pearce, Symonds are Earl are eligible but have been in the NRL team. That's a fair amount of talent not featuring in out NYC team. Substitute all these players into the team and you have got a team brimming with talent all over the park.

a bit out of left field but do you think they could win it this year? If they make the 8 i give them a good shot. The side will be able to welcome back blokes like earl and smonds because 1st grade wont make the semis so this in mind they could do it.
1. Blair
2. Earl
3. Williamson
4. Talanoa
5. Moeakiola
6. Murray
7. Towers
8. Maliota
9. Samuela
10. Cordner
11. Sharp
12. Symonds
13. Leolahi
14. Brunton
15. Clayton
16. Cordner
17. Lowe
It aint half bad imo and could pull it off. Not too much worse than how next years side is shaping up except from an experience perspective. Not sure if jones and friend can play either as im pretty sure they have featured in the NYC at some stage this year.

I don't know what the ruling is with players being eligible or not despite being under the age limit but if it allows all players under 20 to play, I'd go with something like this:
1. Luke Towers
2. Sandor Earl
3. Cheyse Blair
4. Ryan Williamson
5. Fine Moeakiola
6. Tom Symonds (c)
7. Brad Murray
8. Isaac Maliota
9. Jake Friend
10. Martin Kennedy
11. Boyd Cordner
12. Jerome Leolahi
13. Dane Cordner
14. Tom Pelo
15. Olireti Samuelu
16. Ethan Lowe/Joseph Leilua
17. Andrew Clayton
I think with this side, they can most definitely win it. Just a matter of getting their best players on the park. It's just like any other team in the NYC, Canberra can be win it back-to-back but not without Dugan, Croker and Vidot who are in the NRL team.
