Another of those tight classics from Henson Park in 1987.

Classic Hugh McGahan around the 19th minute mark.

I had this game on video many years ago but wiped over it, wish i would have kept as i enjoyed watching again just now. Just to think it was 37 years ago sitting at Henson Park watching this game and quite a few others, where does the time go ?

2010 - Week 1 Qualifying Final - Roosters vs Wests Tigers

2000 - Preliminary Final - Roosters vs Newcastle Knights

1998 - Week 2 of Finals - Roosters vs Knights
Those Knights finals wins will always be in my top 5.

There are plenty but these ones really have been imprinted in my memory......

The Manly 2013 final 4 to nil what an absorbing game......

Those wins come back wins against the Knights in 1998 and 2000, the 2000 one possibly the most significant win for me and my number one game of all time to me.......we got back into a GF after about 20 years (it felt like an enternity as I was just a kid in 1980) I felt compeletely crushed losing to the Bulldogs after that game. It felt like throughout the late 90s,the chance at redemption it was so tantalisingly close but we couldnt get there. It has ushered in our largely sustained success since then.......

The 2010 win against the West Tigers, what a classic.

There was a game against Manly in the early 90s when we were completely shit and they were white hot.....we held them to nil or a low score, we may have only scored a try to 2....not sure if that was the game Adam MacDougall saved 3 tries for us......

The 1987 game against Manly who had won something like 12 or 13 in a row at the time and we were thumped 32 to nil or something like that by the Eels before on the back of a 10 out of 10 performance from the great Peter Sterling. I remember Artie who was our coach who said Manly will beat us by 50 next week if we play like that......we were up by 26 to nil just after half time I think......

The drubbing we gave the Dragons just after we started our run for the 2002 premiership, I think we beat the Warriors who were running 1st or 2nd the week before by 44 to nil, this was just before or after the Dogs got caught cheating the cap. It was during this game, I felt we would win the comp.......

Also the win I cant remember when maybe 1995 against Manly at Brookvale, in where Gus Gould wanted to walk the team off as we were copping a monster of a reaming from the ref (was it Harrigan?)....I think we ended up winning anyway lol......

Jeff Orfords try was a pearler and then from the kick off Salvo comes up with the head butt and is sent off and all but ends our season with that split second of madness, we were on top of the table coming into this clash but started the slide down the table with this loss.
The other thing that i remember was after this game was the tragic loss of Ben Alexander that night.

East vs Wests Sports Ground 1979. Can still remember John Harvey pulling that kick in from Don Moseley to score the only try of the match.

Yes. From memory Sydney had heavy rain all week to the lead up to this round and when it came to game day a lot of grounds were still in poor conditions so some games were cancelled and played at a later date. The Saturday game was played but with the 5 games on Sunday only 2 went ahead and this was why we had the telecast match that day. The Sports Ground was in top condition after all the rain Sydney received during the week. Sitting on the Paddo hill i had a great view of John Harvey's freakish catch for that spectacular try. I remember the next day Les Boyd whinging in the papers that he was denied a fair try , this clip shows clearly it was no try.
So many great games i can remember and would love to see again especially from the 1976 to 1983 era.
