  • Will we have a late season resurgence?

Just keen to see how far of the pen believe we are dusted for the year. History shows we always seem to click in the later part of the season.

Are we done for the year?

To put things into much needed perspective, we are only 4 points behind the competition leaders. 4 points.

I lock us in as making the 8 without a shadow of a doubt.

I'm not certain we'll make the top 4 however, but it is clearly very very possible.

And luckily, we won't be losing many troops to Origin as is usually the case. So our Origin period should be much smoother sailing than it has been historically. Teddy and Collins are the only two players I can see getting selected.

Talk about MUCH NEEDED perspective....... ok here it is
Actually we are not 4 points behind top place, we are 4 points out of 6th place, and even with those 4 points we would still be 90 points behind 5th place on for and against.
Plus a few of the teams below us still have to have their bye and have better for and against, so they will jump us.
      Time to wake up.
If you are so confident, put the house on us making the 8..... you can get even money now,
or take the 10 to 1 on Sportsbet about us making the top 4.
We started the season at $4.50 favourites to win the comp, now the bookies have us as $20 roughies.
I admire people supporting their team through thick and thin.
I've done it with the Chooks for 65 years, only ever one team for me.
But when the club I love is being stuffed sideways by a coach who has lost the plot, then I say Fuuck him.

Without sounding pessimistic even if we scrape into the finals we'll be making up the numbers.

They're a shadow of their former selves.
I've come to the realisation we're in a rebuild phase over the next couple of years.

2024 signings Leniu and Dom Young will be very handy additions.

I don’t see us making the 8.. even if we do, as you have said, we are making up the numbers.

To hear someone say we are in a ‘rebuild’ phase with the roster we have I honestly find to be a kick in the guts. Most teams would love to have our roster and in no way would they be considered to be rebuilding, they’d be challenging for a comp.

Its up to the coaches to get the best out of the players, so if they are a shadow of themselves that’s on them IMO.

100% This side has the best roster in the competition it’s stacked with rep players
most clubs would never put a roster like this on the field ever
this is a premiership winning and favourite side
                so what’s wrong?
tha coach to start has over thought the game
players in correct positions to start
leniu will be huge and young as well, we are missing pace out wide so young would help massively

if we let suaali go early - not needed
not sure if Watson will resign or not or it we will give him an offer
this should allow us to keep lodge

the comp this year ks the closest it’s ever been so you can’t get away with playing average and still winning against week Teams like we have in the past
our points differential is 2nd worst in the comp which will come back to bite at the end of year
                our defence is non existsnt
and I have never seen our attack so bad

As usual if we make the 8, injuries / fatigue will bring undone.

Our issue has been our backline. On Friday we only had Teddy and Keary playing in same spot as last year. With Walker, Manu, and Tupou due to be back after the bye I expect us to go on a run. Maybe too much to ask to beat the Panthers in round 15.

It also depends on whether Robbo is prepared to make the call of Walker back to halfback. That would also mean one of Billy Smith/Suaalii/Paulo back to NSW cup. My preference would be Paulo out and Suaalii back to right wing. Although I expect all three to play during SOO and Robbo to take a gamble leaving Teddy out.

I am not concerned about Cheese and Radley missing. They have been playing like a busted ass and Brown and Turpin can't do any worse. We also still have a lot of depth left in the forwards if we lose Collins to Qld.

I reckon we still make top 4, close to favourites in betting before the finals, and Coggy and Big Dog to go MIA.

Good luck with that, get on the $10 to $1 on sportsbet for us to make the top 4......... and double down in a few weeks when we get to $20 to $1

We're on 12 points, the competition leaders are on 16 points.
In what universe is that not 4 points?

If you are stupid enough to double down on this bullshiit then it's a waste of time comunicating with you.
