Will we have a late season resurgence?

I think we’ll try but our for and against is so bad we will struggle to find a top 8 position. But if we get on a real roll then anything’s possible but it must begin now.

The Roosters have struggled this year in all facets of the game. Attack has been so predictable. When we are coming off our line, I know, and all other teams know that one of the wingers will take the first hit up, one out, and usually gets smashed. Same with the second and third hit, being another winger or centre. We need to mix it up a little. maybe run in twos as we are getting pumped one out. It may have worked in previous years, however, the Rooster' way has been worked out. The third and fourth tackles involves a couple of forwards, then it goes out wide and a kick to the corners. We need some variation, some inside balls, running in twos and threes and not being so predictable.

Hopefully the week off has given the team some time to work things out, let the players play footy and play to their strengths. Young Sam Walker is pivotal in this change. If the Roosters are to keep him, they must let him run the team and play to his strengths. They can't have it both ways and try and restrain him. At the moment they are pedestrian in attack, lacking in confidence and second guessing themselves. Brandon Smith is another. Don't recruit someone and then try and change the way they play.

Time to start having some fun with the ball and taking a few risks, as the norm of bash and barge ain't working as it used to be. Got to change it up a bit, some set moves, get deeper in attack, run to the gaps and trust in defence. At the moment we are playing a too structured game. Time to evolve or continue banging your head against the wall.

Main thing is we have had some really bad 5th tackle blunders and lack of cohesions , it's been comical.

1) Suaalii to wing or gone.
2) Toups back
3)Conner Watson back.
4)Radley to Bench
5)Smith/Turpin share 9 duties. Turpin/Radley do it until Smith is back. (Radley needs to earn his spot at 13 , too much bullshit)
6)Brown or E Butch to 13 (EButch used to bea ball player when he was younger , his handling has been terrible lately)
7)Someone to take resposibility for the 5th tackle options ( so I guess our only option is Sam Walker comes back , but his 5th tackle options were awful)
8)Gus and Sitili starting , Butchers to bench
9) Jared and Lindsay starting , Lodge from Bench.

Team at round 20 needs to look something like this if we can get everyone fit.
