not sure if Watson will resign or not or it we will give him an offer
this should allow us to keep lodge

the comp this year ks the closest it’s ever been so you can’t get away with playing average and still winning against week Teams like we have in the past
our points differential is 2nd worst in the comp which will come back to bite at the end of year
our defence is non existsnt
and I have never seen our attack so bad

Everyone here wishes for us to do the usual late charge up the charts, but sadly, I can't see it happening this year. In my opinion there is a mutiny brewing on the good ship Easts, for whatever reason, right or wrong, who knows? Either that or our system of training is useless. How can we be so inept at so many basics of the game? So many here have rightly said that we play like a team playing their first game together. I would go one step further and say that we look like a team of players that don't like each other. A team without spirit.

The Roosters squad is in the 4 to 6 range in my view

The Roosters spine is around the same range - 4 to 6 in my view - maybe lower

Usually teams with the best or at least second best spine win the comp

When Papenhuyen comes back the Storm will have the number 1 spine - Papenhuyzen/Munster/Hughes/Grant

Penrith/Souths/Storm have better spines than the Roosters no matter what combination plays

As these players handle the ball the most in games they create the points and scoring opportunities.

If not doing this they need other players contribution in games whether it be centres / ball playing and offloading forwards etc to create the points and scoring opportunities - same for teams with lower ranked spines in competing against teams with higher ranked spines
