According to the NRL ladder predictor, we need to win 10 from our next 13 games to make the 8.
The auto fill feature gives every team wins against teams below them on the ladder, and predicts losses to teams above them for each weeks game.
They give us a win over the dogs in round 14, but after that they only give us 4 wins from the next 12 games,
because 8 of those games are against teams higher on the ladder than us
and we finish 10th, 9 points behind 8th place.
So we need 10 wins to finish 8th,
or 11 wins to get to 7th.
which means we have to beat teams placed higher than us 6 or 7 times.
Only a very brave or very stupid man would back us to get there.
It's still a possibility, but only if our GURU sees the light.
Even if we do make the 8, it would take a miracle for us to win the comp this year.,
To do that we would have to win 14 out of 17 games from here.

It a close competition so it's all relative. We're sitting 11th and are on 12 points. The Dolphins are 6th and are on 14 points. There are 6 or so teams in the same predicament as us.

Unfortunately U maybe right.

We are just 4 points off the spoon and the Tigpies and Dragqueens have a better For & Against. And the tigpies are on a roll...the drags inspired by a new fresh coach.

Who knows we might make it it but it will depend on a couple of the other teams results in the run home very doubtful we could do it. Brandon's out for 2 months Rads suspended for 3 weeks. Nah thinking about it realistically we are not going to make it this year

I remember last year starting a thread on the Roosters odds when I think we were 30 to 1 & saying if anyone had the kahunas to back them & you said that you put x amount on them & that you had won on them making the top 8 & then cashing out, maybe you should have another crack again this year.

Last year, and every year previously I have been all in for the Chooks, I've always thought we could win any game, and yes, i had $500 on us with 16.5 start against penrith, then i put $1000 on us at $2.30 to make the 8.... we had to win 8 in a row to get there,
Mate, that was a dumb bet, and I got very lucky.
Not this year thanks, the bookies have us at $1.80 to make the 8 right now, and at $1.85 to miss the 8.
I'd never bet on us to miss the 8, but honestly we should be $3.50 to make the 8.
The coach has lost me, I hate what he has done to us.
I hope it's short term and he comes to his senses, because he is spoiling something I have loved all my life.

I'm quietly confident that we will make the 8, the bye this week will do us the world of good hopefully and allow Robbo to reflect and HOPEFULLY make necessary changes.

If Robbo can't get them motivated and keen then the Roosters will either win a very sloppy match and look completely unimpressive or it'll be a repeat of the game against the Dragons where we play well for 20 and lose.

This is his time to shine and prove that he is capable of coaching this great club.
