I don't think Thirteen is BS'ing. Shown himself to be a pretty straight shooter who doesn't get caught up in conjecture. I'd say just passing on info that he has heard that is probably correct.

I wouldn't be worried though, as some have said, Sam is a QLDer and would have numerous mates in the Bronco's set up. The function wasn't a Broncos function it seems so not much to see. Mitch Moses and Brooks were in Teddy's wedding party, and I believe Teddy attending a function held by the Tigs to celebrate Brooks 200th doesn't mean anything.

I do worry we will lose Sam to the Bronx though once A-Rey has retired or moved on. They will throw the kitchen sink at him to sign if he improves even more for us. It'll hurt more then. Also worth noting if he left now, he wouldn't get into the Bronco's team so even more reason to not worry about this event.

Sam and his family know plenty of Queensland NRL people, he's allowed to be seen with them.

I was speaking with Brandon Smith on Monday - he said there is no way Sam is leaving the roosters. I think he'd know.

Would you really expect him to say some thing different to a fan. Imagine if he told you Sam was on the way out? Wouldn't happen. Even from the honest and open Brandon Smith.
