Thanks for sharing.. Bit suprising to hear but then also not really when we aren’t winning. He seems likeable but could be a case of too many big personalities.

I wouldn't be worried though, as some have said, Sam is a QLDer and would have numerous mates in the Bronco's set up. The function wasn't a Broncos function it seems so not much to see. Mitch Moses and Brooks were in Teddy's wedding party, and I believe Teddy attending a function held by the Tigs to celebrate Brooks 200th doesn't mean anything.

I do worry we will lose Sam to the Bronx though once A-Rey has retired or moved on. They will throw the kitchen sink at him to sign if he improves even more for us. It'll hurt more then. Also worth noting if he left now, he wouldn't get into the Bronco's team so even more reason to not worry about this event.
      **** were losing Teddy now!

Secondly, as far as thirteen goes, he would be one the most non BS posters on this forum. His love and passion for the roosters surpasses many so called fans, and has never posted BS rumours and is one of the few credible posters here .
Not true at all, the club wouldnt have a clue what all their players or managers are doing in regards to talking with other clubs or what their plans are. I know it's against rules for players to negotiate that far in advance but its happening to every single club every year & the NRL cant do anything about it. If Walker wants out next year he will be gone as the players hold all the aces. If we say no then he can jus tg get fat, lazy & stink it up in reserves wasting out s as part cap while we have another poor year like this year due to having handbrake Hutch or a past his used by date Keary as a halves combo. This also disrupts the club & doesn't allow us to recruit or move on so clubs rarely hold players to contracts. Not saying he will or is going, but if his preference is to move on then it will happen & we will have wasted more years & lost another gun player.
I mean you always hear that the Roosters dont lose players they don't want but look at a list of RTS, Latrell, JS & possibly Walker. All 4 were rated as superstars, generational players etc & we could potentially have a record of losing all 4.

I think gone at end of this year. I'm one thats not a fan of this generation & think they're all soft, not willing to push themselves to take the hard road when they can walk out in any club & get more money elsewhere, but Sam making the move to NSW away from family change my mind a bit. In saying that I think he's down at the moment in regards to his position at the club, his future, his style of play etc & can see him in this time of confusion going back home where he has the support & guidance from family. If he's not back there next season I'm certain it will be the year after. He can go to Bronx when AR retires, earn more than he can at the Chooks, but a house for cheaper & have his friends & family close by.

How many players & clubs these days break contracts? It's a weekly thing where clubs move on contracted players & where players move on prior to fulfilling a contract.

              Exactly.
Living in old inner Sydney unit alone as a 20-year-old and not playing won't work.

              Its a shame.

I read that he bought a brand new apartment in Bondi... I think he's doing alright.

no doubt but he's got a contract with us for next year and if we don't want him to go he won't get out of it. not to mention he's already made two public comments that he wants to stay

                      Hi Patch!

What’s with the nasty words champ? After 30 years, sounds like you need to get back on the gear.

                          He is Mickie.
From personal experience you can’t do that 24/7 though. It’s wise to take some time out. As for the crap that goes on between you two, that’s another question altogether.

It’s ok Steggles. It’s what I expect and I’m not surprised. Believe me, Patch can go a LOT lower.

I gotta say though, I expected him to be a bit thicker skinned. Guess I was wrong.
