Correct, but without those 2 we will be a bit short in the front row. JWH aint no 50 plus min player next year.
King, do we have the dollars for HAAS if Fletch 400k and Lodge 500k leave?

Also with Toops signing again, I dont if JS will be on board next year!

On Haas have to wait until November 1 2023 if still available as contracted to the Broncos until 2024

      I don't think Baker would have been on 400k though - 250 k say

The 250k player long serving player allowance per club would offset the contracts of 3 players eligible for this in JWH/Toops and Keary in 2024.

I did hear some whispers about 23 yo Eddie Blacker a 195 cm and 116 kg front rower currently playing for Penrith being on the Roosters radar - Wiremi Greig a 23 yo 192 cm and 124 kg front rower was another one mentioned in dispatches but looks likely to sign a 3 year extension with Parramatta.

2023 - Players off contract - able to field offers from other teams from Nov 1 2022 - 8 players
      • Corey Allan
      • Fletcher Baker- Likely has signed with Brisbane
      • Nathan Brown - Unlikely to be re-signed - on 600k(Parra paying 2/3 and Roosters 1/3 or so) so would have to take a significant pay cut
      • Drew "The Hutchinator" Hutchison
      • Matthew Lodge - Unlikely to be re-signed- asking for around 800 k
      • Billy Smith
      • Jake Turpin
      • Connor Watson
      • Thomas Deakin ( Development Contract )
      • Vuate Karawalevu ( Development Contract )
      • Tui Katoa ( Development Contract )
      • Junior Pauga ( Development Contract )
      • Ben Thomas ( Development Contract )

2024 - Players off contract- able to field offers from other teams from Nov 1 2023- 14 players
      • Nat Butcher
      • Angus Crichton
      • Luke Keary - Retirement ?
      • Joseph Manu
      • Terrell May
      • Paul Momirovski
      • Lewis Murphy
      • Jaxson Paulo ( if he takes up the PO)
      • Joseph Suaalii- Rugby
      • Daniel Tupou - Retirement?
      • Sitili Tupouniua
      • Jared Waerea-Hargreaves - Retirement?
      • Naufahu Whyte
      • Siua Wong
      • Sandon Smith ( Development Contract)

2025 - Players off contract - Able to field offers from other teams from Nov 1 2024 - 5 players
      • Egan Butcher
      • Brandon Smith - has a PO ( Player Option) for 2025
      • James Tedesco
      • Robert Toia
      • Sam Walker

Why not, Sivo-ilk wouldn't get past them.
Sprint training could improve their attack.

He should head over to Fiji. So much natural freakish talent waiting for an opportunity.

            Indeed.
Good idea for him to call in to NZ on the way over, and study the Warriors NSW Cup team.
...and NZ rugby, never know what might be found there.

Hopefully he'll find us some big, strong, fast wingers who know how to defend their sidelines...because I've just watched the Eels v Cowboys game...a try a thon down sidelines because the wingers on both sides were wandering around infield instead of being on their wings where they should've been.

Yeah and they have no idea about how to play league. If only it was that easy....

Uncle Nick should build a footy academy over there. Construction costs are dirt cheap. Wages are pittance. You could run it on the smell of an oily rag whilst creating local employment and opportunity.

Yes, one minute your life is ok, then in the blink of an eye it turns to shyte.
Insurance can't cover every scenario, I guess.

Another try a thon down the wings by both teams tonite, Souths v Raiders.
                          It's ridiculous.
Our new recruitment manager must get us players who can stop this happening to us anymore.

Interesting to see who we keep
uou would have to think maybe either brown or lodge and either smith or Watson!
however is paulo and suaali are let go a year early might be an option to retain more guys
if he happy to let momo go early as well

watson is a very good 14. But just can’t stay on the field and do we spend $500k on him
lodge great but $800k might be to far

smith would have been await and see how he got back and looks to have done enough
if we don’t resign lodge or Watson should have money for brown
but can’t seem all 4 be kept

yes 7 players and 4 development players off contract they need to make decisions on pretty quickly for 2024 season

and 10 players and 1 development player able to field offers from November 1 - plus 3 players expected to retire at the end of 2024 ( JWH/Toops/Keary) to replace for 2025 season

Will they go to market from November 1 - list of players available by position below - salary cap permitting

Sadly, Daniel Anderson is now a quadriplegic. A tragic outcome following a spinal cord compression injury while surfing.

There is a fundraising web page in his name.

I understand the Roosters are assisting him, but I’m not sure in what capacity.
