Oh that's the worst possible news.
    The cruel sea strikes again.
Hopefully whatever he needs can be provided.

So very sad. I had a feeling his condition was bad though as there had been no update for 6 months.

This is horrible news. Praying for him and his family

Starting to feel like this signing might be one of the best we've made in a while. Junior rep and NSW Cup/Flegg squads are absolutely stacked with exciting young talent this year.

                Thank Christ.

We've been at sea in terms of talent for years.

Out of interest, what's Daniel Anderson's current role?

Chooks news from todays Sunday Tele

                    KNIGHTS SIGN FORMER REFEREE
Newcastle have secured ex-NRL referee Chris James from the Roosters head up the club’s football operations.
James had been with the Roosters since 2019 in a football operations position having spent 10-years as an NRL match official. He will work closely alongside Newcastle’s head of football Peter Parr at the Knights.

CHOOKS STAR SET TO EXTEND STAY
The Roosters are set to extend the deal of injured forward Egan Butcher with the 24-year-old on the comeback from a season-ending knee injury.
It is understood the parties are close to a new two-year deal with Butcher’s contract expiring at the end of this year.
Butcher ruptured his ACL last May. The Roosters are hopeful he will be right to play the Broncos in round one. Butcher has played 56 games since making his debut in 2021.

Mitchell Aubusson was appointed Director of Football - Chris James was Head of Football Operations -Not sure if they are the same position which is why James left?

The Butcher Bashers will be happy as they will have two Butchers to earn their weekly wrath with Egan's impending re-signing.

I am wandering if they are thinking of playing E B as a front rower.

He's played most of his first grade career to date in the front row so that would track..

Saw the bit about Egan in the paper today and immediately thought of all the likely comments from fellow penners, him being one of the whipping boys on here.

Butchers a bench prop at best it’s a depth signing until the va boys and seve boys are ready I think va will play a few first grade games this season without a doubt

I thought he might be gone after 2025 looking for more first grade opportunity
hasn’t quite kicked on like many predicted early
not that exciting re signing really as he doesn’t offer a power game and doesn’t have the skills like a Murray or rads either
