ROOSTERS SQUAD v BULLDOGS
Round 14 - Sunday 4 June @ 2:00pm
Industree Group Stadium, Gosford
Hope you don't mind the silliness. This place has been all doom & gloom for so long I thought I'd try and lighten the mood ...
[RANT]
Presumably well rested after a close tussle with the bye, we are ready for another installment of 'What Crap Will We Dish Up This Week'.
Pauga gets his chance in place of Paulo. A few troops returning this week, JWH & Manu named to return, with Toops on the extended bench. Unfortunately, Joey is named at 5/8 again, with Kez at half and JAS still at right centre.

[OPTIMISM]
For the glass half full'ers amongst us, this is an important turning point in our season. The week we begin our turn-around and steady progression towards a run deep into September, and maybe, just maybe, into October. This week we click into gear. Maybe only 2nd, but when you've been in 1st gear with a slipping clutch for 3 months, 2nd gear seems like an F1 joy ride.
[/OPTIMISM]
[PESSIMISM]
For the other 98% of the pen, this week will likely be the usual crap. Venom-less attack, insipid defense, dropped pill, 6 agains and penalties galore.
There's still players that shouldn't be there, and others that are out of position.
Oh, and Klown is in charge, so we're royally screwed regardless.
[/PESSIMISM]
Both sides potentially missing key personnel - Tevita Pangai Junior and Josh Addo-Carr for them, Burton if he gets used. Teddy and Collins for us. Teddy usually gets a rest around this time, but given our current status, the injury list, and the fact Teddy's run for around 30km less than he usually does by this time of year, he may just have to back up.

- The Roosters have won eight of their past nine games against the Bulldogs.
- The Bulldogs are aiming for consecutive wins against the Roosters for the first time since 2016, after they ended a six-game losing streak with an upset 16-12 victory at Accor Stadium last year.
