To be clear, I’d personally love to see Robbo successfully see out his current contract.
In saying that, I’m also very concerned with his performance over the last couple of years, particularly this year which has been exhaustively discussed on this forum. Picking players out of position and stubbornly sticking with obviously ludicrous selections is impacting the team’s ability to win games.
Moreover, Robbo sticking with depth players who filled in and busted their arses over the last few injury plagued years is admirable, but it is not helping the team to be the best that it can be. Up and comers are not getting a look in at the Roosters and we risk them leaving for greener pastures because the first grade squad is sprinkled with “loyalty selections”. Hutchinson and the Butcher boys fit this profile. Would these guys make the top 17 at Penrith, Souths, Melbourne, Sharks or Brisbane? I doubt it. We have better in reserve grade; eg. Whyte, May, S Smith.
Then we have the lack of consequences for ongoing poor form; Radley, Suaalii, Keary, Allen, Butchers, Hutchinson.
Then we have our ongoing lack of team discipline; dropped balls, unnecessary passes, penalties, 6 agains, sin bins, running into touch, forward passes, etc. I would have thought the coach should be working on this after years of the same old same old.
Games plans don’t seem to have changed in years. The Rooster’s Way has become a joke.
These are what I see as issues. The coach is 100% capable of fixing all of these issues and I hope he does, but will he?

So, new week, same shiit. But don't blame the coach.... he's a GURU, a Master Coach.
he couldn't coach shiit to stink.
Two Butchers starting..... stinks
Handbrake in the top 17..... stinks
Suaalii at Centre...... stinks
Sitili at lock....... stinks
Manu at 5/8..... stinks
Keary at half....... stinks
Robinson at coach....... stinks to high heaven.
Who tells this clown he's fuucked up?
This arssehole has taken any joy I might have gotten from watching my team play by dropping a young star halfback instead of coaching him, and then playing others out of position to make up for it.
By persisting with a Handbrake who is also a spanner in the works on almost every play he gets involved in.
Fuuck it, if we beat the dogs...... which is no certainty..... how disgraceful is it just to say that ...... it's just a bandaid.
Robinson has fuucked our season, even if it doesn't end this week...... we won't make the 8 if he continues with this circus.Last edited by NorfolkStreetKid; 05-31-2023, 11:21 AM.

I originally really thought there was some method to Robbo's team selection madness but as the weeks go on & the results don't change then you really have to question WTF is he doing.
If we lose to the Dogs then this season is dead & buried.

I’m genuinely thinking about you tipping the dogs. This roosters 17 doesn’t inspire me at all and based on their performances this year i honestly can’t see a way we win..
If we do somehow manage a win, then happy days. But if we lose at least I got my tip right!

I already say that the Chooks can’t win the comp this year but if they don’t win on the weekend then they are really in trouble.

With 3 players coming back from injury
2 players backing up from Origin
at least 4 playing out of position,
3 first graders missing
PLUS the Handbrake on the bench,
we just lost 2 games to the teams who are running last and 2nd last, and now we have a worse team that the one which lost those games.
We are a big chance to lose this one.
Bulldogs paying $3.75 on sportsbet, or $1.90 with 14.5 start
or $12 to beat us by 13 plus
we are a ridiculous $1.28.

I can't see the Roosters going down the Atlanta Braves Path during a poor run one season in MLB in the late 1970's - Ted Turner the owner at the time taking over as Manager - 1 game only as MLB rules prevent owners from being a Manager or having any on field game day role.
So Nick Politis or any Board Member won't be filling in as Head Coach any time soon
