Worst recruit ever ....
Seriously though, his biggest problem is he is trying to do to much, because no-one else is doing it. When he is at his best he is backing up half-breaks & running off the back of quick play the balls from a dominant carry. Instead, he's trying to create those things and it's just not his strong point. I've seen him criticised for these things before when the team isn't playing well. His "form", which is probably more accurately described as his current predicament, is entirely symptomatic of the woes of the team, it's not the cause.
It was pretty much the same scenario last night for NSW.
There's always the chance he's playing busted, too.

In some ways I feel for him, in others I find it annoying as I don't think his over involvement is necessary.
I don't think he's the smartest captain in the NRL

No one should be surprised as his form
has been terrible this year. Should not have been picked. He has overplayed his hand in attack for two years. Ever since our halves have declined and he was made captain. Unfortunately now his speed and defensive efforts have waned. Seriously he needed a big game to prove he deserved to be selected. Epic fail. Fittler and him gone for next year

It all comes down to coaching, Tedesco needs to be told to pick and choose his moments not try and put the team on his back every play.
I think the captaincy was a mistake and he thinks he must lead by example in the same way a Cordner could take a tough carry and change the game
Great player, even still but needs to be coached that sometimes less is more.....
Unfortunately even with all the "lessons learnt" every week the last few years I don't think our coaching staff is pushing this message

Funny how ever since he's tied the knot and is now expecting a child (nothing wrong with that and no offence intended) his form/performance has gone down hill !
I hope his personal life (marriage) etc, is going ok because he just looks like a shell of his former self.
Slightly concerning !

Teddy is one of the greatest players of his generation.
But it's dangerous to continually pick players on reputation.
At the present time NSW would be best served picking Latrell at fullback with Cody Walker at 5/8th.
QLD would have fits defending those two who are in their prime.
And then Teddy can focus solely on the Roosters who are in one hell of a hole at present.

They had enough ball to win two games, and the almost criminal sin bin in their favor.
They can't run the same team out in game 2.
But are they willing to admit they stuffed up and make changes?
ofcourse Mitchell will be back if he's available, and that might get Walker a start at 5/8, and Cook back at hooker and Campbell Graham.... because they love combinations right?
so put 4 Souths guys in instead of none.
Is Leniu available for NSW?
You are dreaming if you think that Souths will come in for Penrith.

I don't think he's the smartest captain in the NRL1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.
