I guess we have all seen him raise his knee coming into contact in the past, trying to break through the tackle, it's a concern and I thought about it yesterday, but it didn't look too bad, i don't think he raised it above the horizontal, it didn't look to have any intent on his part to hurt the tackler, but it could be a problem with the way the game is run today.

Not good. This should see the return of Sammy if fit or Smith to halfback and Joey back to centre where he belongs.

Nothing in it they are dead set kidding themselves if he is charged for that. Look at the pic the guys head is chest height To run and garner speed one needs to lift their legs Perhaps our resident limoncello drinker who was also an elite sprinter and now half marathon runner can fill us in on how a player can garner speed whilst running but not lift his legs

Of course there will be those on the MRC who will just want us punished for winning so he will probably be charged

I don't think there was much in this at all. Their 9 put his head in the wrong position

Following the Sydney Roosters Round 14 match against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and Jake Turpin have been cited by the NRL Match Review Committee.

Suaalii was issued with a Grade Two Dangerous Contact Charge following an incident that occurred in the 34th minute of the match.

Should Suaalii elect to enter an early guilty plea he will be unavailable for three matches. If found guilty at the judiciary panel, however, the 19-year-old will be unavailable for four matches.

Turpin was issued with a Grade One Careless High Tackle Charge as a result of an incident that occurred in the 61st minute of the game.

Should Turpin elect to enter an early guilty plea, he will receive a monetary fine of $1000. If found guilty at the judiciary panel, however, the hooker will receive a monetary fine of $1500.

Suaalii and Turpin have until 12pm on Tuesday to enter their pleas.

Looks like he’s out for 3 games. I don’t ever recall the incident yet the MRC have thrown the book at him.

3 weeks suspension for the act of running - you've gotta lift your knees to run you know.

Ok, I'm understanding VLandys Ball - no running, no tackling below the waist, no tackling above the waist. I get it now.

What about the dog who took Pauga out in the air causing him to land on the point of his shoulder - lucky not to break it. Penalty sufficient - why?

When I seen it I thought it would be picked up by the MRC - been pinged 3 times for raising the knees in 2022 - 2 in the NRL ( warning letter and grade 1) and 1 in the World Cup - Grade 2 this time because Mahoney failed his HIA one assumes

Poor tackle technique from Mahoney who leads the comp in missed tackles no less

I see the MRC is once again using our club to beef up their end of year holiday fund.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Always gonna happen after Mahoney went off with the HIA. The NRL very conscious of anything that leads to an injury being automatically ruled foul play. Even running. Absolutely ridiculous and he will probably want to leave the code even faster now given they are banning him for his running style.

He hasn't been good this year but he is a hell of a lot better than Corey fking Allan, who we will sadly see in the side for the next 3 weeks.

Id seriously consider challenging this one. only 1 game difference if he is unsuccessful and we have stocks of outside backs at the moment it seems.

I think the knee lift in question was a lot milder than some we have seen before and the club should have no issues in obtaining other examples across this season that weren't put on report. You can clearly see in the image that Mahoney contributes as he has his head in the wrong position.

I’m sorry but if you decide to tackle with head in front you are asking for trouble.

dumb from both runner and tackler
