Well, a win is a win. It might not have been pretty, but it's 2 points and we didn't manage that since Rnd 9. Wow.

A tough game this week, a real test. After the last debacle against the Panthers, we need a BIG improvement

Toops is back !! Allan is at centre. Suaalii in his chookpen preferred position this week ... not playing.

I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope this week. No Cleary for them, which is a plus for us. I don't hold out much hope to be honest. It will take more than just a step up from last week to get away with this one.

    Go EASTS!!

Manu in for Allen, Keary and Walker in the halves, Radley in the 17 and we start to look pretty good.

Sitili or Crichton can cover a back getting injured.

Watson and Hutch can fight for 18.
Unfortunately if you think that’s close to our best side going forward with Nat and Egan in the 13, I’m questioning if you are watching the games. Egan has some upside as a middle forward off the bench. My dog has more upside than Nat.

I don't get the hate for Nat, he's a toiler, makes plenty of tackles, we need that. i also don't get the hate for Allen, I think he goes well at a low wage. I agree both Butchers should come off the bench, not start.

Zack Dockar-Clay would have to be the shortest lock forward in the modern era or maybe any era as that is where he plays in NSW Cup for North Sydney Bears - 171 cm ( 5ft 7 ) and 88 kg's (13 st 12 lb's)

Well at least he left the handbrake off, I am thankful for that. I would have liked someone like a younger version of Trent to date my grandaughter, he is very slow making a move.

Tupou in for suaali, suaali no loss
the Tupou getting the roosters try scoring records has gone in forever this season so hopefully he can mail it soon
the manu experiment needs to stop, move him the centre and smith to 7

Probably because until this season at the Bears he has only really played 9 or 7

If you call holding onto a standing attacker in a tackle, then yes, Nat makes plenty of tackles. Not one of them would hurt anyone from say under 12’s and up and anyone taking his place could at the very least do the same. He doesn’t use his shoulders. He has no real intent in anything he does; his runs are soft, his tackles are soft, he doesn’t pass, he doesn’t kick……I’m just not sure what value he actually adds to this team. His selection is also blocking players such as Whyte who run hard and tackle hard. Egan is twice the player Nat is and runs hard, tackles hard.

Nat is usually good for a penalty or two as well; usually for holding players down too long. Last week it was his obstruction that caused Teddy’s try to be disallowed; he ran straight into the defender which was totally unnecessary.

I would still prefer Joey in the centres and Smith at 7, but great to see Toups back. Hopefully Walker is not too far away from a return as well.

He has been around for ages, mostly played lower grades in the halves and hooker. Pretty sure he was a schoolboy rep either for Aus NSW or both

We will lose players while holding onto Nate the Grape long term, i agree there !! It pains me every time i see the powder puff amble up to the line and get stopped in his tracks.

Allen up against Crighton is a mismatch, Manu still picked at pivot is a worry seeing Sandon can slot into half and let cool hand luke go back to his natural game as a running 5/8 and who kicks goals? Maybe that's not a problem on reflection as we might not score one to to convert, how many points did the panthers beat us last time? could be an even bigger hiding on the way for us hope not but I'm not confident we won't get toweled up again. Anyway its good to see Toops back.

As they live in the dribblers heads ( plenty of space mind you ) - here's some pics of some of their "favourite" players they can enjoy

The Hutchinator a late inclusion in the 17 perhaps vs Penrith
