  • Let's Hope Brooks Takes a Super League Deal

From the telegraph: The Tigers might be left to choose from the likes of Matt Frawley, Kyle Flanagan, Adam Clune, Ben Hampton and Drew Hutchison who are without deals for next year.

The criticism of Drew Hutchison is excessive and over the top he isn’t the greatest player but he’s a halfback who’s been asked to play out of position at centre and hooker and has done his best every game. He played well for us when Luke Keary was injured and deserves more respect.

All respect for Drew but he is past the modern game.

I respect his service and efforts but for me he will forever be a reminder of an injury ravaged two years that were wasted opportunities

The Handbrake does not deserve a spot in the Roosters top 17, he is not first grade quality in any position. It is a poor reflection on our club that we have been in the position of having to play him.
He is slow, clunky, a real handbrake.
He lowers the bar for what is acceptable.
He puts extra pressure on the players either side of him.
Even if he played for nothing none of the above would change.

It's the Tall Poppy Syndrome - Folk who are envious and resentful and who have this sociological or pathological need to incessantly criticise others' successes.

It's basically abnormal behaviour as most folk would post some sort of criticism once but not daily and or as incessantly as what appears on here and not just about the Hutchinator either

The Butcher Brothers and of Course Coach Robinson to name a few cop this incessantly too.

You have no notable successes to speak of yet I enjoy criticizing you...

I think the criticism is not of Drew himself, but the role he is made to play by the coach at times. He is certainly not a centre and it doesn't suit his strengths and everyone seemed to be able to see that except the coach... regardless, I respect Drew and would keep him as a squad player for as long as he wanted. Just wouldn't have him anywhere near the 17 unless there was an injury in the halves... at present there is and I would desperately prefer to see Drew at 6 over J. Manu.
