did any one else notice this in the telecrap today, first page of the main game section. cant fin the actual article online but this is a summary of it...

it stated that the roosters were no longer after kearny, as the board doesnt want to blood an nrl rookie coach, rather we are looking for someone with a bit more experience to get some stability into the club after the recent off field incidents.
it also stated peter sharp was not an option.

anyone else hearing this or is it just another bullshit story from the telecrap??

i believe if true its the right thing to do....

I think Kearney has already served his apprentice as a coach and we need to snap him up now while we can. It's unfortunate the club doesn't not want a rookie coach because Kearney I believe is well suited for the job. Freddy might have not gone as well as the club wanted him to but there is a big difference between Freddy and Kearney. Freddy was thrown into coaching after Anderson failed to make any sort of impact. He was not ready and needed to learn the art of coaching, as he still needs to now. Kearney on the other hand, has an outstanding coaching resume and I think is ready for the step up into the head coaching role. He has served under arguably the best coach of the past few years in Bellamy and I'm sure has learned the exact elements of making a club successful. Bellamy learnt off Bennett at Brisbane, and I'm sure Kearney has learnt from Bellamy somer of the tactics Bennett uses. It's not coincidence Bellamy was successful at Melbourne and built a dynasty like the Broncos had in the 90's. Kearney is capable of doing the same at the Roosters.
