Pretty sure it was reported by the club that he was due to play in or around Round 8, he'll probably have the rest of the season at Newtown, hopefully gets some confidence there & completes season injury free, then have a good pre-season & gets back to FG for 2013, that'd be the plan anyway, fingers crossed for the young bloke.

Good luck to Cherro, I hope he gets back into first grade by the end of the year or early next season. There are quite a few awesome backrowers though so it may be hard.

From what i've heard, this is the last year he has on his contract.Does anyone know if we are going to be resigning him.If we do I hope its one of those incentive based deals, where you get payed for the amount of matches you play.

What's the bet we let him go, and he carves us up!

We have to re-sign Cherro. Along with Symonds we have twice as many local juniors in our top 25 than the dogs. They only have Josh Reynolds. lol

                  Chook.

Cherro will never carve it up. Injury prone and more importantly soft. Never understood why he was rated so highly on here.

Well. In for a penny...in for a pound.
May as well persist at this stage. Feel for the guy & hope he ends up tearing it up...for the CHOOKS

I don't think anybody who attempts to come back from 2 knee reconstruction in consecutive seasons could be called soft. I wouldn't have blamed the guy if he had taken the easy option and retired but he's putting it all on the line hoping he can crack it. Good luck to him, hope he makes you look a more like a goose booster than a rooster booster.

This club makes more dumb decisions re. recruitment than any other club, but if we don't resign Cherro it will be the dumbest of all!! Why would we stick by a bloke for years, give him a new contract whilst injured, watch him ( hopefully ) regain full fitness then let him go!! Everyone on here talks about our depth in the back row, but F#@k me I reckon most are passengers bar Cordner who WILL develop into a top liner!!

Sorry and Maubs!! I would like to see SBW, CHERRO, MAUBS, CORDNER working behind MK and JWH plus one more 'working prop,e.g TOLMAN' next year then let Maloney do his thing, could be exciting times in 2013!!!
