I remember we played the Riff about this time last year. We were the better team but lost due to a dodgy ref / bunker call. But from there on we started our winning streak the following round. Go Easts!

Last year we were robbed, but we had a better team, and we won 8 straight after that game to JUST make the top 8.
Win or lose today, we will have 11 games to go from here,
if we get our top 17 on the paddock, all playing in their correct position anything can happen,
But if we persist with the positional changes we are just making up the numbers.
It would be a miracle for us to make the top 4, and history says you can't win the comp if you dont make that first.
We are a chance tonight, let's see if we can win this one.

Yep I can't see us making the 4 now. I sure hope Joey is back in the centres tonight. I don't want to get my hopes up too much about the win tonight though as I'll end up being disappointed.

Despite criticism directed at me from a few numpties on this forum, here’s some positivity from me for tonight’s game. After being towelled up 48-4 not so long ago, Easts will beat the Panthers tonight by 8 IF Manu plays centre, Sandon half and Allen left, right out. If not, we will be beaten by 16.

With Suaalii out of the side we will probably concede 3 or 4 less tries.

I just don't think we have enough firepower on the edges. The Butcher brothers, in particular Nat, offer nothing in this department. The Panthers tore us to shreds in this area last time.
