Reminds me of the 1979 season. A Roosters team living off past glory's, coming off a disappointing 78 season and a side boasting 2 huge signings in John Harvey and young sensation Kerry Boustead, fresh from a pre-season win over Balmain and announced as premiership favourites. We finished 4th last. The coup de gras being a 25-0 loss to St George on a gloomy Sunday arvo at Kogarah.

As a lifelong Roosters supporter I thank the older players in the team for their service and indeed all the current players but if ever there was a time in the clubs history when they need to undergo a major change in the coaching and playing roster it is now.
If this doesn’t happen then this tired, predictable, undisciplined rubbish will continue.
This is not the time for a few little changes that will
make everything ok, this team has been underperforming for 3 years.
The fans will stay loyal but as far as growing the club you can forget it if there aren’t major changes now. This season is a write off so now is the time to start.Comment
