It seems to be a negative feedback loop of impotent halves -> nullified forwards attempting risky offloads -> stars trying too hard and hogging the ball

It wouldn't be too hard to fix but after seeing specialist centre again start in the halves, and the specialist half again start in the centres, I feel we still have a bit further to fall before the coaching dogma is addressed.

No big back rowers charging on to the ball 10 meters out from the opposition try line into big holes to score. Robinson what a coach.

The only positive is that we are a day closer to this nightmare ending.

No matter what Penrith are a very very good side that is only conceding 11 points a game and their grind game is very hard to match for 80 minutes - 4 losses - 2 by 1 point / 1 by 2 points and 1 by 4 points

Against 149 - next best Sharks with 231 who play today - so will be conceding 100 points or so less than the next best defensive side so far in 2023

Roosters did have opportunities in that first half but you need to take them against a side only conceding 11 points a games as I alluded too above

10-0 not great but you are still in it - That 6 minute period where they scored the 3 converted was the ball game

No different to the 2000 prelim final vs Newcastle - Roosters down 16-2 and 3 converted tries in 8 or so minutes to be up 20-16 then another try a few minutes later to be up 26-16.

4 converted tries in 14 or so minutes (24 points) - That period was the ball game too and determined the result.

Would be one of the few to still back them to get back on the winners podium as most have raised the white and some virtually from the first game.

Difference between a fan and a supporter I suppose - fans are fickle folk and the Roosters are known to have the most fickle fans in the league as this site demonstrates - supporters stick solid with their team win / lose or draw.

Anyway Atlanta Braves (40/24) won again - 6-4 vs Washington Nationals @ Atlanta GA and Richmond too vs Freemantle Dockers (85-70) in the AFL
