Damn that felt long and painful!
Paulo was named at fullback last weekend. I wouldn't count my chickens yet.

My biggest concern is that (like Hastings and Flanno before him), I dunno what lesson this served to teach Walker. Like cool. Robbo REALLY thinks that Walker's so cr@p that playing a centre at #6 (while we lose just about every game as we're unable to score any points) is a better option. REALLY... Walker's not first grade. He belongs in reggies because he can't even play as well as a centre. Sigh.

To me it felt a bit like some dog owner rubbing their loyal hound's nose in their own urine every day for 3 months as punishment for accidentally pissing on a rug. If you catch them in the act and say 'BAD DOG!!!' then they'll learn a lesson. Whereas if you make a daily habit of rubbing their nose in p!ss then pretending you prefer taking a pet goldfish to the park (while demanding that they come along to feed the said goldfish at the park, walking behind... not as your best friend) then they'll probably just be thinking 'WTF is this guy doing?!?!? I want me a nee owner!!!'

Lodge isn’t named for the Bears or Roosters reserve grade teams so who knows what the go there is. May was named for the Bears so maybe he’ll come out of the side for Wong.

My fear is the two good changes, Smith and Whyte starting were only done out of necessity and will be reversed when other players are back. Hopefully they both kill it

Some of the pen members on another topic were claiming he was a massive whiner who has pissed off Robbo, and will be at the Panthers within the year. Idk where they got it from, but wouldn’t be too surprised, based on who his brother is. For me he’s not first grade material but others seem to have differing opinions. Would like to see Wong given a crack over him regardless, especially considering he plays prop, edge and lock

Nat butcher at prop is a joke he couldn’t bend a banana let alone a defensive line

If Smith kills it, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s kept as utility for the year. I’d be surprised if walker isn’t brought back when healthy. If he’s not there’s 100% something behind the scenes. This is whytes game to prove himself, he’s been tearing it up in reggies so hopefully he’s a find. Ik there were big opinions of him as a teen

There will probably be late changes. Don’t be surprised to see nat move to 12, sitili to 13 and Whyte to the bench or prop before game time

Sitili was defending at right edge early on in the game against the panthers, agree you can't take much notice of the team on the sheet and Whyte will be playing prop when he's on the paddock.

Missing many players but finally starting to see players in their positions
no radley, smith, Watson, Walker and suaali
no lodge so presume dropped - should see him in resthis week
teddy and Collins out with state or Origen
strange as you think he would be playing well to try and score a big contract with another team next year, looks like he has given up this season

hopefully this week kick starts the season for manu, interesting to see when teddy comes back if manu actually goes to centre and not back to 6

everyone even in media is bagging robbo not for contianly using manu at 6 when he does not pass

well deserved selection for Whyte he has been making 250 mtrs a game. Wong made 250mtr as well so not far off

in res players or named include momo, baker who sounds like hia and toia who has now broken his jaw in training
also moriarty, bevan, Deakin and Napa not named so getting quite light on

Robbo won't be able to help himself. Aubo to start at half.

Nat Butcher at prop has me reliving memories of David "Blind as a Bat" Barnhill being stuck at prop.

Deakin also had a failed HIA last weekend.

I might be alone on this, but I think with Collins out this was the wrong game to drop Lodge. Robbo could've waited until next week to punt him.
