He is going at about the level of how a Newtown player should be going in first grade. The fact we have to 'hide/protect' a first grader is unacceptable, and by hide I mean switching him and BJ around because sides attack his weakness. Only time it (hiding/protecting) works is if your name is Lockyer and Tonie Carrol is your minder and you can offer a team something like Lockyer does/did. What does Carney offer? In saying that he BUSTS his rear every game I have seen him play.

For starters, he's a handful for opposition defence because he runs the ball back hard and fast like a winger/fullback is suppose to, unlike the other soft cocks who prefer the skip and dance method.

He hits hard in defence unlike the others who prefer the kiss and run method.

The bloke is a good finisher aswell. Too bad he never gets the opportunity to show it because the chooks don't know how to get a bit deeper in the backline and use the farrken thing properly.

We prefer the stand flat and throw mulligrubbers or hospital passes method.

But i still love the bludgers!

People here who have bagged BJ have to realise one thing, he's a baby.For a kid he has achieved alot in a short space of time, under some poor direction,if someone like Tim Sheens ie.the national coach, was going in hard to sign you, it speaks volumes on his ability.2 year deal great work by the Roosters.
