  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Knights

Our supposed team of superstars aren’t so good. Plenty of non-superstars playing today. Maybe they can prove a point.

Can’t wait to head out there and watch reserves too.

    GO ROOSTERS!

Like Zac and without any confidence Roosters to win but just . Manu back to Fullback is a bonus and hopefully Smith kills it at 7

For some strange reason I find myself thinking we might win today Perhaps it is blind faith

Yeah they've got Ponga, Gagai, Young, Saifiti, Thompson and maybe a few others who have found some form recently. The bookies are also tipping us to lose (for once).

I'm not a punter but at 2-fiddy, it's almost tempting to put a pineapple on us. There's a reason Ponga's not playing Origin and Manu's a gun at FB (not so much at 5/8).

IMO our strength will be our forward rotation. We'll NEED our bench to play well though, with no Collins or Lodge. Though, Lodge had a shocker last week (sounds like something musta happened for him to have publicly stated he's leaving us next year and then had such a shyte performance).

                  The bookies make it tempting.
$2.50 for the chooks to win.... $3.70 to win 1 to 12, $6.50 to win 13 plus.
Best odds we have ever been when playing a team actually BELOW us on the table.
I'd like to think we can win,
but we still have the 2 butcher boys and hutch in the team which scares me
no teddy, collins, lodge, walker, smith, radley, suaalii, ... that's 7 out
yeah I know they have been crap, but
they would be in our top 17 if all fully fit and available.
A rookie half, a bench player at hooker, Allen in the centres.
Huge game, a loss will put us in 14th spot, a win and we might be 9th.
I can't see us winning, it would take a huge turn around, I just don't think we have the troops
not enough punch through the middle,
                  hope I'm wrong
                  Go the Chooks

Are you saying that you had to cry today because we can't find our way home?

All this talk of the Roosters being a star studded team, but on paper the Knights are fielding a better team than we can scrape up. Hard to feel confident, but I fancy our chances more than I did last week. Not because of the opposition, but because we have named more players in there correct position.

                        Go Easts.

I'd love to see us win this.
I keep imagining our backs firing
big games from Sandon, Keary, Billy, Manu and Toops,
                            some good attacking kicks,
but then I just can't see us handling them in the middle
I don't see us charging up the middle.
                            Man this year is shyte.

Plus the Knaughts played out of their skin last week. They should be over cooked.
