    I agree Sack.

Spud's boy has matured so much over the past 2 yrs. Through hard work and commitment Kane has arrived at where he is now. He tested himself against his esteemed peers last night & IMO shone head & shoulders.
He is on chicken feed (no pun intended) in comparison to what Groat, Shannon Boyd & Klemmer are earning per annum. Interest is building from other clubs and probably more so after last nights sterling performance. Now's the best time for Roosters mngt to upgrade his contract

9/10 of them will not stay with us, and you can bet your bottom dollar we'll keep e wrong ones.

We had 2 of the 4 Australian props come through the lower grades at the roosters and got rid of them both in consecutive years (both representing QLD the following year).

We've had plenty of lower grade talent over the years but have really never succeeded in nurturing them into successful 1st graders

Times are different now im sure we will keep 90% of our young talent, this youth policy we keep hearing about through our managment isnt bullshit we are in good hands for the future and the days when we were letting go of our good jrs for players like mason omeley etc r OVER thank god for that...

By the way Kane Evans is signed up untill the end of 2014

Yeah Danish, doesn't it suck being a Roosters fan - even the decisions we haven't made yet are the wrong ones.

              Agreed.
The thing is they are so damn lame with their comebacks.
              Pathetic actually.
Maybe school is back in it might get better.

Provided we can keep the SG Ball trio of Joe Ofenhengaue, Togatasi & Lloyd Perrett in our system. They are our generation next. Expect to see them injected into the NYC squad once SG Ball finishes.

                    Confirmation please:

Lloyd is Sam's little brother, yes?

And Joe is related to the former Wallaby Willy Ofahengaue? Nephew I think?

That's correct. He was identified & "poached" by POS as a 15y.o.

Would I be right in saying we had the highest representation of any of the 16 clubs? Evans played strongly, as did Cordner. Moga did well with the little ball he got. Napa did well also but didn't see much of Tago except him coming to the aid of his Roosters team mate Cordner when he went down with cramp. The futures looking bright. I just hope we can keep most of these young guys coming through.
Our club had five p layers representing both the Qld and NSW origin teams, If I remember correctly three of our team played for Qld with two playing for NSW. I think the Broncos had 9 players chosen to represent Qld. I believe your assessment of Tago's performance was a little harsh, though, I thought he took the line on with gusto and defended strongly.
