  • Phoenix Rising ?? or Death of 1000 cuts ??

So now it's week to week, again.
I'm sure we all think there is enough talent in our squad to make the 8
IF..... somehow we can manage to put it out on the park.
We got a gutsy win today, JUST, newcastle blew so many chances.... they were terrible,
but maybe it was the pressure we put on them as well.
Some very gutsy showings, JWH was awesome, huge effort from Nat
they all put in so it just might be a foundation.
Losing Keary is huge, MASSIVE in fact, it has to be Hutch for at least the next two weeks
    then maybe Walker..... maybe.
I'd just about written us off, and a 2 point win over the team running 13th doesn't mean we are fine now,
but it's a start, it's a hell of a lot better than losing.
Next week, we have Canberra at Allianz
Teddy, Toops, Manu, Smith, Pauga, HUTCH, Smith, Radley, Crighton, Sitili, JWH, Turpin, Collins..... N Butch, Brown, Whyte..... E Butch/ Lodge/ ???
Yes we can win it, if we realise we have to play like a team for 80 minutes.
We aren't better than anyone unless we can do that.

      Not a chance in hell.

We're so far off the cohesion you need to win a Premiership it's not worth contemplating.

      Season has been blown.

(Although I don't think we had the squad to challenge in the first place.)

Had extreme high hopes this season but have been dashed in the last month. I do not see us matching top teams . Our attack is too predictable. I don’t see any cohesion or fluency in attack or defense. Yesterday was gutsy but gutsy only takes you so far . We have the individual talent but they’re not gelling at the moment . I’m not being paid a million $$$ to find solutions , it’s up to the coach and his assistants .
        GO EASTS

I think it will be a tough end to the season for us. Anyway, GO ROOSTERS.

If Walker and Sandon Smith become our halves pairing, Cheese and Turpin in rotation at dummy-half, Radley with his screwed on at Lock and a backline which could look like

              1. Teddy (C)
              2. Toops
              3. Pauga
              4. Manu
              5. Suaalii

With the rest of the squad looking like this (until Keary returns):

              6. Walker
              7. Smith, S
              8. JWH (VC)
              9. Cheese
              10. Collins
              11. Butcher E
              12. Tupouniua
              13. Radley

              INTERCHANGE:

              14. Turpin
              15. Chricton
              16. Butcher N
              17. Whyte

              18. Hutchinson

We could string together a few wins and hopefully be a in a decent spot on the ladder. I'm not writing us off yet but EVERY win from now on will count and our for/against is absolutely shit, so we will have to make sure we get the win from here on out. When the finals come around ... we'll cross that bridge when we get there !
