Now that we are getting our first genuine speedster for a very long time it’s got me wondering who the fastest man in the competition is. Who do you think?

Difficult to know... also are we talking in a straight line or in practice?
As an ex-sprinter my only caveat to all these discussions is that I dunno if straight line speed is THAT important in the NRL. I know the Fox is an exception but when I think about 'footy speed' I picture guys like the Cheese, Teddy, Grant, Munster, Ponga...etc. Teddy would be up there. Him or Grant maybe?
I know he's outta favour with lotsa fans but IMO Cheese would have our fastest, most evasive ball players. He's shown this 2 or 3 times this year and is unstoppable when he catches you sleeping. He'll lure you in with all his funny faces too. Has just had horrible luck with injuries.Last edited by ism22; 06-19-2023, 12:31 AM.

That Titans winger has them covered over 100 i reckon. Saab looks a bit slower since acl. Young was only the 3rd player to reach 38kmh after Fox reqxhed it again this year and Saab who hasnt got near 38 this year.
As far as footy speed goes Rhys Walsh is Billy Slateresque. Ponga and Hammer are also very footy fast with the ball.
0 to 20 Walsh or Hammer
0 to 40.Hammer Walsh or Fox
0 to 100 Fox Saab, Khan or Young.
Cheese lol, pretty quick but those guys would smoke him over the 20 or 40 changjng directions but cheese is quick with ball in hand, fuucking slow based on his lateral movements in defense though....Last edited by 4 the all in brawl; 06-19-2023, 01:13 AM.Originally posted by Bondi Boy
