Why would anyone within the club provide so much confidential details including trying to poach a coach in the middle of a 5 year contract to a nobody only to go onto a public forum and splatter it all out? The jungle drums are beating louder and louder. Word on the grapevine is very strong that Stuart is coming home. The money that would have covered Bennett will be put towards the best coaching team in the business.

Coincidentally, it was Danny Weidler who first raised the rumour that Stuart would coach the Roosters in 2002. He wrote an article late in 2001, when Murray was still coaching us, that Stuart could be the next Roosters coach.

Weidler later wrote that as it turned out, Nick Politis read the idea in Weidler's column, and not having actually thought about it before, liked the idea...

And so a golden era of three grand finals, a premiership, a minor premiership and a world club championship began.
