No one can blame him for that.
So why make a thread crying about next Sundays game, on Tuesday the week before…? Must have lots of time to kill

Another notable game at Brookvale in 1993 , Friday night Roosters 6- 0, manly had all the ball, threw everything at Easts but couldn't score, the commentators were going about the Easts defence and Fulton piped up what about Manlys attack, how good it was, yes Bobby, i reckon the zero really highlighted how good your attack was
I was at that game on 95 at Brookvake Manly at the time were undefeated having won 15 straight Goulds ploy worked as right at the death one of our players lost the ball and Toovey was going to score under the posts and win the game for Manly but the referee gave us a penalty I was so happy we won that day I ran out onto the field and full time and was celebrating with the players

I was also at the game in 93 on a Friday night

I think Camberra are a much tougher test personally.
I agree. This Sunday will be a tough ask.

I have spent many a painful afternoon at Brookvale in the past and I fear this will be another, of course, I hope we win there but the guru has me dreading games like this and Manly are crud which makes me realise how badly we're going. As for the Canberra game, I'm hoping they turn in a bad game as I feel any opponent who is on will tear us a new one, our defence is that bad.
We play Melbourne 15th…. What are your thoughts o that game win? Lose? Close one?

Womanly have way way way too much speed for us on the edges and out wide. I agree, it could get real ugly. DCE will have a field day against Hutchinator & Allen, who move like the Walking Dead. We need to take them on up front and through the ruck. Their big boppers tire easily, inside balls...that aren't telegraphed 5 seconds before work well against them.

I've seen some good wins at Brookvale 74,75,81,95 and 18 but I've witnessed some shockers 76 when a bunny Reilly disallowed try cost us the match, 80, 84, 97, 2009 to name a few but Manly are a different team at a packed Brookie on a Sunday so I fear for the worst and hope for the best. I still like our chances more against Canberra, hopefully we'll win both and go into the bye with some momentum.

How do you think we’ll go?

I was at the game. I think it's the only time I've been there to see us win.

Can't stand the place. They run out of pies and beer before first grade has kicked off. Feels like Henson Park in 1987.

I bet not much has changed there since you went in 74.

Apart from a grandstand in the southern corner southern end and smoker at the northern end I doubt anything else has changed

I had a dream last night that we were playing Manly in the final round and needed to kick a goal in the last few minutes of play to make the semis on for and against. To my horror, Hutchinson took the kick from 10m beside the left upright. The dream became a nightmare when he missed it.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.
