  • Brookvale oval.......

On Sunday week at 4.05pm has flogging written all over it and I mean Manly flogging us not the other way around. We may beat Canberra on Sunday but our record at Brookvale is terrible and throw in our ineptness and I fear it will be afternoon of dread. I have spent many a painful afternoon at Brookvale in the past and I fear this will be another, of course, I hope we win there but the guru has me dreading games like this and Manly are crud which makes me realise how badly we're going. As for the Canberra game, I'm hoping they turn in a bad game as I feel any opponent who is on will tear us a new one, our defence is that bad.

I still remember Gus threatening to forfeit the game years back when we were getting cornholed by the referee.

We have won our last 3 games in a row there.

Manly are not the same club they used to be.

I think Camberra are a much tougher test personally.

Its kind of frightening to get this insight into your mind Ray. You are really a weak individual.

Agree, I am far more confident against Manly than I am Canberra. They will want a bounce back after the embarrassing loss to NZ at home. They won't play that badly twice in a row.

Yep 1995, Easts leading 19-4 then Manly getting 7 penalties in a row to get back to 19-16 and Gould coming to the sideline to call the team off, they stayed on the field and held on for a gutsy 21-16 win.

Another notable game at Brookvale in 1993 , Friday night Roosters 6- 0, manly had all the ball, threw everything at Easts but couldn't score, the commentators were going about the Easts defence and Fulton piped up what about Manlys attack, how good it was, yes Bobby, i reckon the zero really highlighted how good your attack was

We snapped their winning streak in that game too. Think they were up to 15 in a row or something

We can win if we tighten up or edge d. This should be the number 1 focus at training.

Coggy expects more from the team than they've delivered this year.
No one can blame him for that.

You can't be a gun team every year. Losses happen. As a man I think you should be able to handle your football team not doing well without having tantrums like Ray. He says he cries after we lose. In my view that makes Ray not much of a man.
