    ROOSTERS SQUAD v RAIDERS

    Round 17 - Sunday 25th June
    Alliance Stadium, Sydney

A win is a win. The second half wasn't pretty, but before we lost Kez I thought we were looking better with the ball. The scrambling defence was a highlight, although the Knights helped by bombing a few chances.

Keary has been named ... I'm not going to say he's playing until I see it on the 1 hour team update. But, if he plays we get him paired with Sandon again, which is a plus in my opinion. Rads is back, but Whyte retains his spot and replaces May on the bench. Teddy and Collins named to back up from Origin (please note it's NOT spelt "Origen"). Players are where they belong. Hallelujah !!

4 years ago we won an epic GF against this mob. It doesn't seem that long ago - I live in Canberra, and the locals are still sore about that one, believe me.

We need to back up last week with another improved performance. The Raiders won't lay down in a hurry, but they are as capable of having a shocker as we are.

The Roosters have won four from five at Allianz Stadium this season. The Raiders have won only three of their past 20 games against the Roosters in Sydney.

Daniel Tupou only needs two tries to equal Anthony Minichiello’s club record of 139 tries.

    Go Toups!!

    Good team

Would have thought Radley should have been made to earn his starting spot back through the bench

Best side we have named in a while imo. Lets hope this is the start of Victor's renaissance.

Thats one issue I have with Robbo

Radley keeps making the same mistakes but never gets punished by the coach, yet Walker is made an example of for lesser errors.

          Just not good!

            I like it.
            Keary 6
            Manu 4
            Teddy 1
            B Smith 3

            Good bench.

Took way too long to get to this though.

Crichton must be close to claiming back that number 11 jersey. Interesting Hutch not named in the 14. I wonder if he stays omitted if Keary does play, we know how much Robbo loves a utility!

Can't complain about anything there, although I do expect Hutch to probably come onto the bench. I know he is hated on here, but with our injury luck, it's probably necessary to have a player capable of covering a few positions on the bench.

Whether that happens or not, I'm pretty happy with the side. Be interesting what it looks like when Smith, Watson and Walker are all available, too.
A few good players will have to miss out.

Raiders 1-5 looks pretty average to me, as well as their bench. I think if we hold their starting pack well, we'll go alright.

Should be the way to go till end of the season until Sualli is back on the wing and cheese on the bench , swapping with Turpin , playing two hookers.
Or start with Cheese then have turpin come on to relieve him and have cheese come back in second half and play as middle forward

It pisses me off that Prictor comes straight back onto the run-on team. How is that teaching him a lesson after another shocking season??

This has to be his last chance surely.

Finally players in their correct positions. For now. If Luke pulls out I would prefer Hutch in at 6 and Joey stays in the centres.
