I’ve always said Sitilli is the best backrower & Victor is the best lock that the Roosters have & I want them both in the run on team.
I’ve asked this before why do people think Victor will be told to change his style?
He is a pure footy head who plays like a pure footy head & by that I mean he will always be up for the dirty stuff, he will always give away penalties & he will continue to be sinbinned for foul play & all the coaching staff admin & others team mates want him to be like that.
When I was playing many years ago our best player played lock & he was the same as Victor & we loved him.

We need to beat the raiders by about 20 points to enter the top 8 this week. A lot to play for.

Sydney Roosters Coach Trent Robinson has updated his squad to face the Canberra Raiders at Allianz Stadium on Sunday evening.

Nat Butcher, who sustained a minor ankle injury during the week, has been omitted from the Round 17 line-up alongside Jaxson Paulo and Terrell May.

Drew Hutchison comes on to the interchange bench, with Corey Allan named as the team’s 18th man in jersey no.20. Zach Dockar-Clay is the remaining reserve.

I’d take a 1 point win just quietly.

Think we only need a 9 point win to slip past the raiders on the ladder and into the 8 (assuming the titans lose to the Bronx). Regardless, a very important game. Season defining IMO, we win and we have a chance of finals, we lose and I think we are done for this year.

Spot on. I forgot to debit the Raiders fa if we win. If we can string together a few wins we can get much higher on the ladder.

**** I hope we don't need to use Hutch today . Just when I thought Robbo got the bench right he's slipped him back in.

I do tthink we need a utility on the bench in case one of the backs go down. Until Watson (or Walker is fit and Sandon can take that role) Hutch is the man

The utility needs to have impact though - hutch just doesn't fit that bill. So Od rather another pig. Radley can play 5/8 Stitilli could play centre we have options that are better than Hutcho in my opinion.

Hutch does at least provide a general play kicking cover. Anyway hoping we don't need it today.

I agree with both comments above. I don’t like Hutch on the bench, but I can understand it.

It’s a real shame because I thought Hutch has covered our ass a lot in previous seasons but he is just too slow. I can cop it in attack because his job was never to break the line and run the length but teams have now caught on and are isolating and beating him defensively which puts the players around him under too much pressure. We are leaky enough without him defending on an edge.

And then we’ve got Swarlee who “tackles” like he’s already playing union.

I hope we can jag a win, but not a lot of confidence,
Hutch still on the bench.... hopefully he wont be needed
                                Keary has to be risky
                                We will miss Butch's D
                                and Sitili in attack.
Surely Radley will contribute something more than brain snaps.
We are going to need Sandon to kick well.
If we click we can win it
