Of course he plays well for us and one of our better players this year. However, if he performs the way he plays at origin level for us he can be the number one prop in the game!!

They just said on the radio that origin foul play is graded differently to nrl.

ie: a grade 2 in nrl. Is classed as a grade one in origin, Gibbs was astounded when he read it out.

It needs to be both ways where a player shouldn’t be graded at NRL standard if he’s considered an origin player.

Im personally of the belief that Origin should have no bearing on the regular season and the other way around.

So if someone in origin does a Latrine and smashes an opponent illegally breaking their jaw, and susquentlty gets suspended for six games, do they then miss two years of origin?

It’s a good question. The point is that club footy shouldn’t be affected by origin fallout and origin shouldn’t be affected by club footy.

Maybe missing a rep game could have a higher serving? Maybe a rep game could hold the same weight as missing two club games or something?

I don’t really know. I’m just searching for ideas. .
