fact is no matter how much you point out contentious calls and penalties that could've been awarded, there would've been some which we were lucky to get away with.. and being roosters fans, turned an oblivious eye to
Top game of footy, we didnt get the cash but geez they played well. I love seeing the Roosters in those type of games, sometimes you win sometimes you dont.
I thought Pearce had his best game for the club & I still think Anthony Mitchell should have played.
Agree. Friend tried his butt off, but is half a pace too slow atm (including between the ears). Its like he is trying too hard.

We got a back chat call and the Weyman drop I thought was iffy.
Chook.

They carved us.
7 line breaks to 1.
I'm surprised we were winning at all ?
Guerra try (lucky bounce)
Mini try (individual brilliance)
Pearce try (individual brilliance)
Anasta try (total fluke)
I'm happy that we came that close but we had no right to win that game. The defence at the end from the whole squad was farcical.

If you want to go that way though:
Creagh try ('individual brilliance' from their hooker)
Cooper try (lucky try from kick)
Weyman try ('individual brilliance' from Weyman)
Prior and Creagh tries (won't bother trying to explain those)
And it was 4 linebreaks to 1, and 2 of those were in the last 4 minutes, I don't know what stats you are looking at.

Fox sports at the end of the game had that tally.
Even at 4 line breaks to 1, it does not paint a pretty picture.
Dragons broke our line at will. Weyman just owned us at the end.
Their pack outgained us, while having less runs. Only Pearce's kicking kept us in it.
They went right through us while we scored off kicks and an absolute fluke in the Anasta try.
It was a brave performance by the youngsters but they carved us everywhere but the scoreboard. I still can't believe Weyman scored from dummy half, then popped the ball for the winning try.

Notice how 2 of those line breaks were in the last 5 minutes? take that away and it was 2 linebreaks to 1 for 75 minutes. Not the definition of being "carved up" is...
We outplayed them for 75minutes and our inexperience got the better of us in the last few minutes.

as for the way we score trys, i could not give a flying fark. As long as we are scoring them. Trys scored off kicks are not simply luck, they are still worked for and practised at training
They went right through us
They way you put it, it's as though they ran us rugged

But, yes. I thought we had done enough to win.
Hopefully the young guys learn from that.
And my old $ouff$ mate was grinning from ear to ear (like I knew he would be)......"paybacks a bitch, ain't it?"
I know how he must have felt after rd1.
