I feel Robinson has made some errors, and has certainly lost some of the aura of invincability he once had.
It doesn't take much to put a team out of balance.
    The issues with....
    Suaalii moving to centre failed
Walker being dropped instead of coached when we had no replacement, failed
    Manu moving to 5/8 failed,
    Keary moving to half failed,
Teddy feeling all the pressure and struggling with the captaincy,
Crighton missing the preseason and his mental health issues,
Hutchison being out of his depth and putting pressure on players around him,
Lodge obviously a divisive character when things don't go his way.
Smith, the big import who struggles to perform at hooker.
Radley the loose cannon, who's immaturity surely wears thin with teammates.
There are plenty of issues, and it's up to the coach to fix them.
I fully agree with you. These decisions were coach decisions which should never have been made. Playing players out of position who got us in the finals last year has backfired along with dropping Walker. I believe had he kept these players in their proper position, not demoted Walker and been more firm with Rads, we would be in a good position on the ladder likely 4th. The question is why has he done this. Moving Manu was a disaster all could see except him. He’s not been rational or logical.

When was the last time that either Hooper or Read actually broke a legitimate story? When was the last time that Tallis actually said something remotely interesting or intelligent?
These 3 make both Buzz and Anasta look good. Take it with a grain of salt. Tallis will have his bias and he is lucky to have his gig. If he wasn't from QLD he wouldn't be on Fox. They can't only have NSW personalities. Likewise, Hopper and Read write crap just to keep themselves relevant and in jobs.
The only articles I take seriously are ones with quotes directly from the players, coaches or board members. Kent has proven himself to be a wanka, but he, Buzz and Weidler are the only journos who actually include these on a regular basis.

        Weidler has dropped big time.

And you forgot the Biden of NRL360....Crawley. Can't split him and Hooper who the dumbest C is.

Tallis was born a meathead so you shouldn't make fun of him.

This is starting to circulate again
While I don’t think it’s true I can actually believe it as well
playing guys out of position, dropping Guys and admitting in round 18 his still doesn’t have an answer to our attack and defence is a little questionable
robbo is one of the best minds and thinkers of the game, but rugby league is a simple game and sometimes you can overthink it
recruits have not impressed however injuries and lack of continuity with the team because of this is making it hard
it’s got a 2016 feel to it again. We have the team and talent to do so, just need to find it and click
while this year may be over, we were starting to hum along early on beating south’s and parra without a lot of players and were saying imagine when everyone is back
we play for premierships and with the side we have we all expected more, our rooster wall of defence and scoring plenty of points per match! Not pulling the hair out each week
I think you nailed it with over thinking things. Also, he needs to learn to trust his depth.

Stop weakening one position to strengthen another. Bring someone up to fill that position. ie. Manu should have stayed at centre and you bring someone in for Walker.

Exactly. Kent, before he was stood down used to deliberately stir up something controversial which would make the headlines the next day as fact in the news click bait websites. Crawley and Hooper also go on there to ‘promote’ their latest Daily Telecrap column. They waffle on and argue and talk over the top of each other. Since Kent has been stood down, I’ve noticed Anasta has played a bigger role in getting all agro and arguing a point with whichever ‘journo’ is at the desk that night. The less said about Tallis the better. He bases his opinions on whether the player / club etc in question is from QLD, the titans or broncos. As for the story about Robbo not being able to find the dressing room, Read probably got that scoop from here on the Chookpen where all the great Roosters stories come from.

Based on your analysis Mini would never have played in the fullback position, after all, he won a preniership as a winger. Players get moved to different positions all the time, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Horrie started as a centre, Ricko made his debut on the wing. Sua'alii actually made his debut for us in the centres in 2021. Manu being moved didn't work out but to say it was a disaster all could see is just not true. There were lots of pundits saying he needed to play on the ball and not be stuck in the centres. His last game as a 6 for us in 2022 ended with him getting MOTM but apparently 'everybody' knew it wasn't going to work. Not sure what that was based on, because it certainly wasn't based on his previous performances in that position

Look, I agree that the changes didn't work out and the dropping of Walker has ended up being an umitigated disaster but it's easy to be a genius after the event.

I agree with all but Smith (don't think he's had a chance). Having lived through the Mark Murray/Chris Anderson coaching years (they still call us the greatest generation for this suffering). I think Robbo is still the best coach we have had in the last 40 years. Hopefully this is just a bump in the road. In 10 years or so, when our disappointment may have ebbed a bit, we will all laugh about this season.

                      Spot on!
One thing that I'm surprised about is how some of those fill in players from the 2021 season didn't step it up as I thought they might.
We haven't really had a great debut for a while. Egan was looking the goods but isn't where I thought he'd be (althoguh I think he has had to play more minutes than expected)
Sitilli was just cemening a spot as a first choice edge but was injured.
The backs we haven;t really seen anyone emerge..I think they were hoping Suallii was going to fill that Mitchell void on the left edge, but that hasn't worked well but I understand the reasoning.
Sam has beena revelation though but he was probably fast tracked alittle and missed on learning how to own the team. And having 2 spot players in this age is a challenge, especially when you get down to 12 men like is often the case.
We have been lucky that we are in contnetion most years or are only ina rebuild for a couple....most fans of other clubs would die to have what we have had. I can't believe the Broncos, the most powerful of all clubs really, has taken so long to become a contender.

It’s Crawley. Don’t get me wrong, I hate Hooper more but Crawley offers literally nothing.

Just spoke to the analytics guy who just finished training the squad today.

Apparently the boys have trained the house down once again. All the coaching staff are blown away with how hard the players are working/training to get out of this rut. Hopefully it all comes together starting this week
