IMO Robbo's looking a bit portly and pink in the face these days. While I get that being body positive is the theme of the year... he's one of the youngest coaches in the game. I'd love to see him doing some 1/2 marathons around Camden while visiting his (legally blind) mother and joining Bouris for a few boxing sessions.

I reckon a lot of the 'highest mountain' kinda jazz is institutionalised these days. It can be difficult holding my tongue when a colleague spends months talking about how sore their feet are after a 'hike' that's comparable to one of my weekend trail runs. I'm more impressed by regular exercise than I am about 'feats' that anybody can do under a packaged tour arrangement.

Some people climb Everest (some die in the process, causing their loved ones untold grief).

Some people do brisk walking for exercise...recommended as ideal by some health professionals.

Some people don't like boxing for exercise.

Some people just walk for exercise...with or without a dog...suits their souls.

    Trent is now age 46.
Trying to keep up with the young bucks is a very bad idea.
Doctors say his days of climbing on ladders are over...40+ the cutoff age.
As is running in the City to Surf...men aged 40+ have died on the run in past years.

Bellamy driving himself to vomiting to try to prove he's as tough as his players 40 years younger than him is crazy.

          No! Hutch is the Man!

            Lol

Maybe Robbo is going to climb Everest after all after reading my post lol

internet coverage on island peak is dodgy - he's after a break from reading the goings on here

Unless you were a friend of mine who got bad mountain sickness and indeed doesn't remember being there!
Sorry to mislead, I've never been. I did watch a doco recently about Everest that was on tv after an episode of the summit.

I may never do it but alpine climbing intrigues me and I reckon just getting to base camp would be unreal.

I have done a bit of rock climbing in the glasshouse mountains, great experience but only about 200m above sea level. Can't compare to trekking through Nepal.

Last time Robo did the Everest treck he moved the lead sherpa guide to the rear and put the cook up front on point. They only got a little bit lost.

He doesn't look fit enough to run around the block.... I doubt he will becarrying his own gear. Just coach the team, I don't care what he does in his off time.

                          Climbing Everest or similar?

                          I've never seen the point.
No hot showers, no TV, probably no internet, no chiropractic mattress bed to sleep in, and no hot food cooked to perfection...and avalanches, life-threatening endeavour.
And, I can't see anything about it that's comfortable...and "comfortable is king!"
I'd rather Trent spent the time here instead, working out ways to fix the horror that this season has been, so it's not repeated in 2024.

Maybe Ribbo has gotten too comfortable at the Roosters
