We play Manly at Brookvale in basically our last chance to make a run at the 8...and it all blows up because of stoopid training.
Someone needs to fix things for the future.

I caught a bit of a Panthers training session a few weeks back and can tell you training isn’t what it used to be, looked like a full blown semi-finals game with the intensity they were playing with.

Speaking of Penrith and a little off topic to this thread.

did anyone happen to watch Spencer last night for the Riff. Particularly in the 2nd half.

I swear he had about 8+ mins on field where he didn’t take a single hit up in atleast 5 sets Penrith had.

did a little defending being a middle forward, but each time in possession he basically walked around unstructured and not looking to get involved.

was the subbed off with about a 15 mins remaining.

not liking the look of his fitness or desire to be involved (attitude)

          When it rains it pours
that will be 9 out of the top 17 out tomorrow or Nat butch does not play
          this season is done
after the bye should get suaali, smith, butch and butch, smith and walker all back and maybe Watson for round 20 but may be all to late

Explains why they are so good.

Our warm ups used to be like that.

This reminds me of the 1966 season. Easts had been flogged 53-0 by Manly. At training the following Tuesday, Bert Holcroft made the players do 53 laps of the sports ground as punishment. The following round John Peard was very quiet, when Holcroft asked him why he was so uninvolved, Peard replied he was saving himself for training.

Assuming we don’t lose any more players tomorrow to injury or suspension,or during training before our next game..

                      I mean who knows anymore.

Suallii out, K might not have noticed if he was there or not.
Yeah, bit strong as he's only young .

I've been watching him in games too, last night especially he looked like he was saving himself for that "one run".

I kept wondering what Robbo and the Roosters are going to expect him to do as far as workrate goes.

Injury has the jury out on Smith so far this season, but he has looked a bit the same in some games. Obviously more work from hooker but a little here nor there.

At Penrith he's hardly missed a grame. Next year he'll probably play half the season.

I think we'll miss him once Allen is beaten for pace a number of times and is driven back when carting the ball up.

I know it's a sensitive topic, but how bad must these concussions have been?

Hopefully next season he can learn from JWH what it takes to be a real foward in the NRL
