  • I couldn't be prouder of how much energy, heart, and commitment they played with today.

Honestly, it was better than some of the matches that we've won this year.

Roosters style football is back! lolz

Lost players pre-game. Lost Turps during the game and got absolutely shafted by every 50-50 call, dodgy intercept and Cummins with the whistle as usual. Gutsy effort. I will say that Luke Keary looks absolutely done as a viable premiership caliber half and we really need to consider moving him on.
I couldn’t agree more Huncho. Luke’s demise has been the elephant in the room all year, whilst most have focused on Walker, Teddy, Manu etc playing badly. Now this year is done, I’d love to see Smith at 7 and Walker at 6 for the rest of the year to unlock our edges in attack. Give them some time together and they could be great, maybe not in 24, but they could be the core of a new golden era soon thereafter.

      • Problem is that a Walker/Smith halves combo is just too inexperienced to put us in the tops of the table. But 100% Keary needs to be phased out appropriately. I bet the coaching staff see this but how they manage it will be interesting.

Phase him out now and give the young guys experience in this year’s dead rubber. We need to focus on the future, not the past sooner or later.

          • I thought Teddy played well. Looking at other opinions mainly on other sites, maybe I am wrong?

              • I'm late to this party but it was a grate performance yesterday by the Roosters. Everything went against us but we really played tough and never gave an inch. All without
                Brandon Smith
                Billy Smith
                Sitili
                Watson
                Sualiu
                Walker
                Butcher
                Chrichton
                all being were unavailable.

I disagree with comments against Keary, I thought he was probably our best except for the intercept. He is still our top player. I thought our defence was incredibly tough throughout the game, Radley and Nat Butcher especially. And when Whyte and May came on they were excellent. That forward pass call was wrong and may have cost us the game. I am still proud of our efforts but that loss did hurt.
